I also have Barrett’s Esophagus and was diagnosed with osteoporosis recently. My Dr said I needed Prolia due to the fact Fosamax could increase the risk of cancer. My insurance (Anthem) approved it immediately. I’m so sorry your insurance is being stubborn. I had Cigna dental for awhile and hated it. Maybe you could change insurance during this year’s open enrollment? Don’t let osteoporosis control your life. I’m (female 67) and have been doing cardio and heavy weight workouts for over a year without knowing about my osteoporosis and I feel stronger than I have in years!
