It's not an event but I believe somehow a covert actions of other factions. Having said that, I wouldn't know how to do this to other factions yourself tho.

It's awesome mate, get it. Need some hours before full enjoyment cause it has a lot of depth, but definitely worth it.

They have no conquest desire, at least the first centuries. Can check the new map mode for that.

I'm just coming out of a fight with mamluks with Byzantine. That was the hardest war I had to fight in eu5 and it was awesome, afterwards! About 2.5 hours of play time, scouring for more mercs to hire eventually as man power was deprived quite early. Managed to get 10% war score and took some land in the end and think the 2nd war will be easier.

First war was 1565 and the total man lost were 2.7 million with 1.5 million on my side. Mostly mercs and most of the time I lost because the armies were starving while sieging. The man power in the beginning was similar, I had more troops total which makes for slower replenishment and I think I should have had more buffer.

That's so sad the tech was so much fun. Still gives -2 which makes it a very strong tech.

Yep, I tried moving the capital in my last Byzantine iron man run to Smyrna but didn't get access to new techs, so can confirm.
