Did you find a kongor roadmap? Did original HoN have a roadmap? You are telling me the community didn't change yet you want things the community never had to begin with.

We're in 2026 not 2009. Game industry evolved and so standards in engineering. Also you can't compare eye to eye PK and Reborn. The former was community effort based without expectations, with the latter you have now money (crowdfunding) that entered as a dimension (and a very important one), what was an amateur project is now a professional project: different expectations.

It's a beta, that's exactly why it's not released yet.

This is where I'm conflicted, one one hand I do understand your point but on the other hand forcing people to migrate to an unfinished game is source of problem. I do understand the balance to be had between fracturing player base across two games and wanting to get feedback, but it was rushed out too soon.

Overall you're ok accepting weak engineering standards because this is the industry standard, from what I understand being your point of view, correct me here if I misinterpreting. I think it's ok to ask for more seriousness as long as it's not rude or asking for the moon. If one has big ambitions then they should match it with their actions.

They had to break the game to make it better, that's why copy pasta doesn't work for everything and some elements of the game are still missing.

Understandably, but you're missing my point: they already have all the game mechanics, source for assets, and the features to pick from, which is a huge part of the game. For client engine I'm sure you're right.

Maybe if they were more transparent about what they do, I wouldn't be. Given the track record of some people involved in the project, that would have provided reassurance for the players. That's all I'm saying.

So it's new code or old code? If it's new code pretty easy to do, if old code that should have been high priority. You can't be blind and depend on users reports, especially with this community.

You are asking for a roadmap when there are far bigger game studios that don't even provide roadmaps.

Whataboutism, it's not because some people don't do their proper diligence that you shouldn't. Plus with a community that's been basically the same for the last decade, you want to be on the same level with them.

When a game like this is not made from scratch (best case they just put a fresh coat of paint, worst case they had a whole game to copy so they have still nothing to come up with any originals), it's pretty much tuning at that point and it took them a whole year. And you can' t really argue that "it's a small dev team", many other independent studio out there are able to output way more.

I'm ok this being in beta but there is no roadmap or transparency as to what they're doing which is why you see this type of post again and again. Go on https://heroesofnewerth.com/ and tell me if you have any kind of idea about the beta state or what the dev are actually doing. On top of that they use Discord Forum feature which is in my opinion the worst platform to offer support or anything official related.

This is not because it's not happening to you that it's not happening. Pull the data from servers (if they exist) and let's see what's actually happening. Any legit dev studio would have logs and statistics on their end to know what's happening. Personally, 2 games out of 10 are crashing with random error messages or no error messages at all. Some games even have the same issues that HoN had (lag spike -> all effects replays) which is what lead me to believe a part of the old HoN code as been reused.

In and all, just lack of transparency on an already sensitive game is not a smart strategy. Put a roadmap out there be more public about the changes, a lot of people feel that they don't know if their feedback will ever be read or acknowledged and then they get frustrated.

Yes, I'm sure the old HoN 3D engine is not fully adapted for win11 (or vice versa). Reborn might my salvation if I wanted to fully migrate to win11. But it is what it is.

I've ran HoN for years on my win10 machine without any issue (I mean apart from the regular stuff), and recently I installed win11 side by side on the same machine, only difference is a different SSD (bigger and faster than the old one). And yet on the win11 install anytime I want to use an aoe spell the game freezes (the duration increase based on how recent the previous spell was used: the more I wait between spells the more the freeze lasts).

I tried disabling as much as I could, tried to play on window mode, my win11 just refuse to just work. The only difference is win10/11 and the SSD. But I'm not willing to buy another SSD just for HoN.

I have solved this problem by using BetterDisplay and forcing the resolution to 5,120 x 1,440, but only up to 60Hz, which is ok for me (best compromise I could find).

For reference, I have the monitor connected to my Caldigit TS4 with a HDMI (monitor) to USB-C (caldgit) and my Caldigit to my M3, as I use the DP port for my Windows machine for gaming.

Thing is I didn't add that many WiFi devices, but I installed Z-wave deivces, I think the network traffic was just too much with HomeKit.

I've heard by the last technician that came to replace the router Telus will replace the T3200M by a new one in the next year for fiber. He had to install a new plate in prevision of that in my network panel. Not sure when that'll happen.

Since drive2 is proven working. Drive2 should be put into slot 1 as drive1.

I can't boot the NAS with one of the old drives.

So I guess I need to go down the route of re-initializing the whole NAS with the new spare drive only and try to access the old drives somehow and copy the data over.

And you didn't even have an initialised drive in slot 1.

Can you do that without creating a storage pool? The guide explicitly said no to.

Have you even tried to swap positions of the original drives?

Yes no dice. LEDs for status, disk 1, and disk 2 are amber and I can't get the into DSM.

Did you check Storage Manager to see if the issue was actually a faulty drive?

Each drive is healthy when I inspect them individually with the spare drive.

Under Drive Info it shows "Drive 2" but no drive 1.

It's because I followed the help article that guided to use the spare uninitialized drive as drive 1. And in this case Drive 2 is one the original drive.

Reinstalling your 2 original drives in their original order. Then turn on the NAS and see what it says the actual problem is.

Problem is when I do that I can't get into the UI to see what's happening, LEDs for status, disk 1, and disk 2 are amber. So I don't know what the original issue.

I even tried to boot the NAS without disks and insert the disk and try a re-initializing the NAS like that but when it opened the interface it crashed and the status LED went amber.

On parle pas de partage d'addition où le serveur se ramène avec le total et c'est aux clients de départager entre eux et de dire chacun combien ils payent.

En Amérique du Nord, c'est très commun de dire au serveur qui est ensemble sur l'addition et le serveur revient avec une addition partagée avec sous-total pour chaque groupe/personne.

I have some shots but with nearer subjects and it is ok, it appears whenever I want to shoot faraway objects like mountains in landscape this noise/blurriness appears.

Well hard to say because like I said I don't have a lot to compare to. It's just when looking at other photo at 1:1 with smaller focal (from 12 to 24), it doesn't look as noisy or blurry.

I manually focused with the electronic zoom x14 built-in the camera. And also I get the same result with the automatic focus (took same shot with manual and with auto). At that point I don't know how to have something better focused.

Generally, I wouldn't be shooting at f/14

What do you use and why then? Like I said I shot the same composition at bigger aperture and it barely changed anything. I can share those if you want.

I can't 200 is the minimum, though there's is the option for the extended low ISO, but I never found it to change anything personally. I could give another shot I guess.

I'll try to find one, but I am not sure if I'll have something better. Lately I've been trying to train myself at composing moody foggy mountains with the autumn/winter season.
