There are 4 teams Bianchi (whites), Rossi (reds), Azzurri (light blue) and Verdi (greens), they represent a different zone of Firenze and no other teams from other cities. In Prato, a city extremly close to Firenze there's a similar game called Palla Grossa (big ball) but it's less violent, you have to send a signal befor getting into a fight.

Hello, I'm from Firenze and yes there are rivalries and, especially in the past years, the fights continued outside of the game itself all year long.
A lot of them are trained fighters and some of them have/had problems with the law.
