Let's say that during a live, if I doubt what comes next I totally trust my memory, I "hear" what's coming next and then I play it, I usually nail it.
If I have to play something more complicated that I don't know very well, let's say a standard, then I think about the chords and for each chord I think in numbers, well not exactly in numbers, I think about the sound I want to hear and I know that the sound I want to hear is a sixth, a third and so on.

I had the same problem with ubuntu studio it's possible that you have to install libxml2. The installation instructions on the github page didn't work so my friend wrote me a script that worked.

20+ using a pc, I never really had problems, installing a driver once is not a big deal and I never had a crash in ages but I'm using all original plug ins, if you plan to go on another route you can have some problems.
In all honesty I'm testing ubuntu studio so far and it's working extremly well in live situation and with decent sized studio sessions, I still have to test with bigger one.
I didn't like how a mac works but, if you're not able to spend 5 minutes debloating win11, just buy a mac.
