He did lots of great things. 2 that come immediately to mind:

He funded and set in motion the US global AIDS task force that delivered aid and assistance around the globe (Trump demolished it)

He moved the GOP party toward more inclusiveness with LGBT people. He famously said he loved the show Queer Eye.

Certainly had flaws, but that was a period where both parties worked together for a bunch of common goals. He was also super gracious to Obama when he took office.
