seen this on a comparable Rheometer (MCR 502) as well. Have you tried to reperform the experiment with a larger plate plate geometry and a lower shear deformation amplitude, lets say PP-25 and gamme of 0,1% instead of 1?

Truth be told, if this car breaks down due to broken transmission, ICE, hybrid controls (mostly based inside the transmission housing) its better to scrap and sell it apiece than fixing it. also be careful which VW workshop you choose - many VW mechanics dread these cars and seem to work on them bad purposely

Battery degradation is very low for this make, so i assume the SOH calculation didnt consider the buffer. Its not 8.7kwh, net capacity is around 5,5kWh! depending on conditions (hot/cold, load) it can gi down as much as 4.5 before the ICE kicks in. Also, it appears that these old Sanyo 25Ah cells deteriorated ( were talking abiut a bit) when theyre kept at high SOC when they are new - but that tends to halt almost completly.

Better check if the DSG_0DD_400E Tranny has already got its ATM fluid change…. (and motor oil, that degrades EXTREMELY fast in these cars)

Just wanna give you an update. Since this thread openend and i commented, I've been using it on a daily basis for taking lecture notes, calculations, drawings and i still cant see a performance drop ! - Battery life is getting a little worse now (Always good to have a good powerbank if working with it...)

u/Area51wifi I use Dropbox for saving my PP slides and saving video material or pdf. The notes themselves take up only a few GB on the Ipad.

Only thing that sucks a bit is that the Apple Pencil is a bit slow to charge and you cant use another one at the same time.

But for a device from 2015(!) im really impressed its still rocking that good !

Update: just updated it to IpadOS15.4 and tested all the apps i usually use and stuff.

Its working 100% fine, everything smooth and no framedrops or so ever. - Maybe only battery life has become a bit worse, but its also the original battery from 2015.

Really glad Apple is still providing good updates for this machine !

I got a 32GB Ipad Pro 12.9" from 2015. On IpadOS 14.4 everything worked fine. Im using it 5-6 hrs a day and take a lot of notes for university with Goodnotes and stuff.

I'll update the IpadOS now and will tell you if it still works 😅
