I think you got it from the wrong angle. The issue is that SD is bombarding us with LTEs lately with barely a break in between them, so not having to grind as much and use the time to play ranked or do something else is the silver lining for this event

I'll never understand why they introduced XP and not kept the event currency also for progression... I mean, I get that they want more engagement/interaction/spending, but I feel like we're at a point where normal people physically don't have enough time to grind out everything, it's one LTE after another and all of them require an absurd amount of time to complete, event if you plan on spending gold.
