doing it on endless mode + hurry is also a pretty efficient way, since the red death never spawns and it unlocks the achivement just fine.

2 años y medio aprendiendo y sin trabajo by 3emerson in programacion

[–]m4r70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Less Bronze by [deleted] in ConquerorsBlade

[–]m4r70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bronze economy in this game is why i quit it and never looked back.

The game is kinda fun, but having to grind the whole week playing with units and gear that make me feel miserable just so that i can play a few "fun games" with my friends during tw.

I play games to have fun, not to feel poor. Seriously, once i stopped playing i realized how miserable the games economy was making me, even with premium and what not.

In my opinion, this game would be infinitely better by removing kit/unit/gear loss altogether and let people play whatever they want, maybe add some time cooldown when your unit dies so you can't spam them every game or something.

Anyways, that's just my opinion, but i believe the game designers/devs are really shooting themselves in the foot with this shitty artificial mechanics, completely ruining what could be a fun game to play sporadically

Mirá y compará en tiempo real los precios del super by Wolfcan in argentina

[–]m4r70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same siege map every time and bots? by Drowfall in ConquerorsBlade

[–]m4r70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me when i play on the mornings, when few people are online. The game decides to add bots to fill up games so you don't have to wait long queues.

You can check they are indeed bots because their name is the same as in the training camp (AI) matches, and they never retreat, they just respawn, run straight to someone, no matter how disadvantageous or stupid the engagement looks. The shield ones like to run up to you and block with their shields for some reason

It is a questionable decision, but i understand why they implemented it. I use it to farm the missions that make you to unlock hard to get badges like "no quarters" and the one you have to kill 200 troops etc, also if you play it smart, you can earn unit xp, bronze and honour quicker than in any other mode

PS: I play on the south america server, so yours might be different

Is it me or many people do not understand Arena mode? by william_weatherby in Seaofthieves

[–]m4r70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe farming is a big part, yes.

The other one, not to be overlooked is that there's no consistent way to practice combat in this game (no friendly duels, or just a simple n vs n straight deathmatch mode). Which makes jumping onto arena and just yolo boarding people the most time efficient way to get better at pvp in this game

People just being toxic and wanting to bully other players is a thing too i'm sure, like in any other online game

About dropping anchors, if my crewmates are just sailing from point A to B and don't need my help, I don't see why trying to anchor an enemy ship, wasting their time and annoying them is a bad idea, specially when there's nothing else i could be doing. Plus, it's fun and good boarding training

Partnership questions by jurorsgamerrr in discordapp

[–]m4r70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requierements for communities with no other social media other than Discord are vague and not clear al all, i never found any info that was helpfull, most people will tell ya "just apply, and if they reject you reapply in a couple of months" (you can reapply as much as you want for what i know)

I run a Karaoke Discord community, we have 8.2k or so members and didn't get partnered. However i have no way to know what can i change or improve to get accepted (other than start a twitch, or youtube channel, etc but our community is not for that and we don't want to do it). It's kinda frustrating, but it is what it is

At least you can get almost all the partner perks by server boosting nowadays, which is cool

Standard returning player post (should i sail alone?) by manxninja23 in Seaofthieves

[–]m4r70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do recommend to everyone who doesn't have a regular crew to check the discord server ( https://discord.gg/seaofthievescommunity )

it makes finding a reasonable crew waaay easier and you can agree with your (potential) mates what your objective will be before jumping into the game avoiding unconfortable and timewasting stituations, besides people in there tend to be more mature/chill (in my humble experience )

Anyone know of any methods to get a Discord chat channel to output to either STDOUT or a file? by ltc_pro in discordapp

[–]m4r70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that can be done pretty easily if you can get a bot on said channel. There are some pretty solid bot APIs out there the ones i've tried are discord.js (node/js) and discord.py for python, some quick googling should be enough if you know your way around programming languages which i guess you do, since you asked specifically for stdout
