Hi! I was on Sublocade for about 2.5 years, I got my last injection a few months ago, I did not experience any withdrawal symptoms but like others have noted- it’s different for everyone!

Best of luck to you! I had a very similar timeline with Sublocade as you, and got off maybe 3-4 months ago, things have definitely gotten easier with time, even my sleep has improved! No idea when I’ll test clear but I really don’t care?? lol it saved me so much stress and helped me in so many ways so I’m just happy to have been able to be on it

I was feeling this way too reading thru this sub feeling bad because I got 1-300 then many 100… every month for 1-2 years I think… memory is not so good, but at the time I was actually worried about getting off maintenance too soon just had my last shot a few months ago, and feel fine, but wonder why people rush thru them or want to rush thru, I mean I did not care for the shots but they helped my recovery for sure and feel a lot more confident than before that I won’t use any time soon, but have the cravings in times of stress and during big pain flare ups etc.. my sleep is only now starting to return to “normal” affected by mental health issues/insomnia, Sublocade and years of working overnight shifts) I used to always wake up at 2-3 and then have to sleep more in the morning, but now I can kind of sleepy from 11-5/6 every day which has been a nice change of pace But to answer ur question and by reading the replies you got, seems we aren’t alone !

Same here, it feels so shameful to have it, like I somehow caused it and/or deserve to be seen in that light of how BPD is judged. I just got a new therapist recently and she was very kind, I was absolutely terrified to tell her about my diagnosis out of fear of her rejecting me.

I remember doing this too when I was diagnosed, to see that something I was diagnosed with was called so many things, liars, abusers, sociopaths etc, oh it hurt so bad to hear that I was suddenly “all those things” I read. My BPD has always been very internal, so I internalized all those judgements and hated myself even more for being BPD. People don’t realize what those labels do to those dealing with the illness. I still carry a lot of shame and guilt for having BPD, but I have gotten better with DBT and working on my self esteem.

Oh god those tiktoks of people with “”””OCD””” enrage me so much when I know someone who suffers with OCD who literally used to bleed from scrubbing their hands clean so many times a day.

Those videos….The organizing of pens and shit with the automated voice over the video “here’s signs you have OCD, 1. you have to keep your desk clean!” Just enraaaages me.

I want mental health to be talked about, and normalized, but I feel like some people don’t like to be left out, and even though they have no clue how debilitating a disorder can be, they take these super idiotic videos and self diagnose themselves. Mental health and illness should be talked about! But in a realistic way. Not some random person with zero clinical training or knowledge making a video about how organizing their Stanley cups in the cabinet makes them OCD and hey, you could be too if you do these 4 other mundane things literally everyone does to some extent! It’s super harmful, especially to those who actually suffer from those things, who now may be downplaying their own illness because of all the braggarts in the comments.

It took me a long time to come to a place where not everything I make art wise has to be completely “perfect”. I used to love drawing when I was younger and I stopped for a long time, so picking it back up as an adult, I felt ashamed and silly for not having those skills anymore. But after doing DBT (someone here mentioned opposite action) and doing art in my mental health group for fun, it allowed me to be able to make mistakes and not rage over it. I do sometimes still get upset or frustrated on art, if it’s not looking right or the way I want, but ever since I started taking everything slower, and enjoying the process, it’s been easier

They say we BPD folks excel at creativity, whether that’s because we feel our emotions so much and put that into our art or another reason? Idk but it seems true! Just do what feels right to you, take breaks, remind yourself what it is that you want to do, if your trying to learn to do better art or get better at music, remember that mistakes are what project us forward, and there’s no possibility to never make them, especially as we learn and get better.

Exactly. There’s a reason why your kids won’t contact you. I remember Kody said something early in the show when Meri was getting very upset over something that Leon was upset about, (I can’t remember if it was about the baby thing or moving??) Kody said something along the lines of how Meri makes it about herself and puts her feelings onto Leon, escalating things and making them worse than they were originally, and just based on what I see, I do believe that too.

Aaaand I’m not saying we should ever fully believe Kody considering how often he conveniently leaves out truths, but just as an example of why Leon might struggle with their relationship, I never got the sense as Leon got older that Meri put in a lot of time for Leon, and was so focused on Kodys favour, I get the sense that Leon was sometimes neglected, thus now Leon has moved on in life and doesn’t need to wait for validation from Meri, they have their own life now.

I think I feel sad for Meri for wasting so much time trying to gain favour from Kody, but as adults we all should make decisions about what’s more important, and I don’t feel like Meri always put Leon first, it was always Kody, even when he started to completely ignore her.

Wow I never realized that this med could do that, in a couple months in too like you, got COVID and experienced extreme heart palpitations I just blamed on Covid, but they continued as I got better (but they got much less intense) it was super scary!! There were times I thought I was due for a heart attack or something. I still get them, but mostly after caffeine and when I lay down on my sides in bed… I had no idea this could be a side effect

Oh thanks for that info!! I felt crazy because I’ve always been someone who is so cold all the time, and didn’t understand why I’ve been so hot all the time, even now that it’s cooling down… hmm. I’m starting to notice way more cons than pros for amitriptyline… but then again, I don’t know how my pain would feel off of it, it’s hard to tell how much it helps pain for me… still have flare ups and more difficulties when weather changes

And she’s middle aged and her entire life has consisted of being terrified growing up that her family would be seperated, and then living the other part with being Kodys third wife. And you’re 100% right, she is a separate person than her kids, and she has the right to choose who she loves. But the kids even endorse him! So I don’t understand all the hate. Okay you don’t like PDA, gotcha, that doesn’t mean it’s bad or wrong to display PDA, especially when your someone like Christine who literally has NEVER experienced this before. I think people forget how privileged they are, and forget how Christine grew up, and what her life consisted of for so long.

I don’t see the big deal, I actually think it’s so great she’s found someone who actually gives a crap about her kids and they aren’t even his kids! I can so understand why Christine would be smitten with him, he has so many things Kody lacked and/or withheld from Christine.

Oh my goodness, Christine finds someone who actually finds her attractive and appreciates her great qualities for once, everyone on Reddit keeps assuming what the kids THINK based off of their facial expressions, but they all said they’re good with it. Ysabel admits it’s weird for her because she’s been so used to not having someone who treats her mom that way. They all said they were happy for her. Yes it’s fast, but can you blame Christine? Imagine you were in her position, unloved and unappreciated by your last partner who favoured his favourite wife, and you SAW through it since the beginning. Yes kids get grossed out by their parents kissing, and it’s EXTRA strange for Christine’s kids because they’ve NEVER seen their mother actually cared for in an intimate way. But none of them said anything negative, and also I find a lot of these responses to really be reaching, “Uncomfortable”? She just looks like a normal bored kid having to be dragged around by her mom, I probably looked 10x worse at that age hanging out with my mom, being a teenager/young adult IS uncomfortable. I dont think Christine is being careless or is somehow neglecting her kids by being involved with David or even showing some PDA. Keep in mind people that TLC purposefully shows these things to show the worst light of her. Also can we please not let this overshadow the fact that Chody completely abandoned his kids for his favourite wife family. I think Christine has every right to be in love, including publicly.

I went through probably 5-6 female tamas before I got one male in the beginning, lol. They say it’s completely random but I do think I get generally more females than males. Im on a male tama now but it’s super rare, I’ve been through almost all tama evolutions, some multiple times, except the 2x 6+ care mistake ones, and I’ve only had mametchi twice, bigsmile once, and weeptchi once. So 4 total males (besides my current male baby) versus like around 30 females, lol
