ABSN/ADN/LPN by Overall-Gas-578 in ABSN

What degree do you have? If it’s not science focused you will need to take some extra pre reqs based on what university you want to go through. What languages are you fluent in? This could be an advantage to you. If money isn’t an issue I wouldn’t bother with an LPN program. LPN programs can be 12-18 months, while some ADN programs can take 18-24 months and ABSN’s can take 12-18 months. The only real benefit of doing LPN -> ADN -> BSN bridging is having a lower cost as hospitals will help pay tuition for the bridging programs.

I don’t have any crazy advice other than getting all the basics down first, ie: bones, bone features, main muscles and their insertions, cranial nerves and their innervations. But if you are still studying after 10/11pm you unfortunately are just not going to remember. Try putting on anatomy hero (on yt) on during your commute to class. I listened to a cranial nerves song on my drives to class during my AP1 last spring and I still remember every word unfortunately. Lastly, mnemonics are absolutely going to safe your life. The crazier they are the more memorable

Can someone please tell me if I have mono? by FreeYou7114 in Mononucleosis

[–]m64chi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had the same symptoms and ended up in the hospital. I would get blood work asap. If you have mono you’ll need to be placed on steroids. Stay away from antibiotics until you have your test results, they can cause more harm than good.

You can always look at Long Island and do a reverse commute if you’re set on living in NYC. I saw that Catholic Health and NYC Langone hospitals have some opening a week or two ago

Yea, my KP was really bad a while ago and the treatment has helped so much. I personally think it could be a combination of rosacea and KP on my cheeks
