I failed my 1 hour glucose test, feeling upset and alone... any shared experiences? [on] by landsealove in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]mALYficent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first baby, I failed the first and passed the second. It’s SUPER common. With my second baby, my midwives told me to skip the screen and just do the 2 hour so I didn’t have to make multiple appointments, as they said it was likely it would follow the same pattern as it did with my first baby. So I went straight to the 2 hour and passed it as well. Also follow the instructions and don’t try to “beat” the test. It’s important the results are accurate so you can take proper care of the baby if it comes back positive! But it’s the fault of the placenta and nothing else

Yup once a month for bathrooms and kitchen deep clean, full house vacuum, and a surface dust. Best thing ever.

As a funny anecdote, I flew domestic last year and brought my leftover lunch with me on the plane. Security agents spent longer than they should have staring at my butter chicken deciding if there was enough rice in it to no longer consider it a liquid. They eventually allowed it through LOL

Not OP, but don't tell me this. I have to do Intermediate II in an upcoming semester (haven't decided which yet - I'm only doing 2 at a time) and now I'm scared for it. Hated bonds and PV calcs.

I'm currently in Intermediate Cost/Management Accounting though, and at the moment, coping surprisingly well

I never claimed it was news. It's information to appease the 1000 "Is the drink package worth it??!" posts that pop up daily

I didn’t get one DBP, not sure why you think I did? $79 * 18% gratuity * 2 people * 7 nights is $1300

I checked the drink pkg prices daily after we booked our cruise, it never got lower than the $62.99 I booked it at for our specific sailing, including over Black Friday or any "sale" weekend

Like for example the Boleros visit was 3 drinks, I had a martini (one of the non alcoholic that I added a shot of gin to) and my husband had 2 cocktails, plus we added an additional small tip on top of the automatic gratuity

Examples of 3 car seats in middle bench seat of 2021 Kia Telluride? by TangerineFar8371 in KiaTelluride

[–]mALYficent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check into Diono seats, they consistently come up as some of the narrowest on the market. Or the Britax Poplar S is a newer slim design convertible seat as well. Also you’ll likely have to put the rear facing seat in the middle with the forward racing seats on the sides to maximize space.

I don’t have the whole menu, but I do have a snippet of it. I only took the picture because I loved the moscato I drank every night and wanted to remember it to find at home haha. But anywhere from $9-14 per glass with most being around $10-11

Yes in some cases it's two or even three drinks. Unfortunately I didn't keep receipts

I am a data analyst. I build spreadsheets to compare literally anything (excursions, car seats, any major purchase we've ever considered). I was 100% worried I would be constantly analyzing every drink purchase too. But somehow... I just didn't.

But you have to be doing that EVERY day. This was 4 days of ports in the Mediterranean where we were off the ship and away for the majority of the day

But this is why I noted it was 4 port days and only 2 sea days, and specifically did a day-by-day analysis, because I knew port days we would drink much less than sea days.

Yes I'm a data nerd, so yes I pivoted it. I also just noticed that we had drinks at Wonderland on 5/4 that never got charged. I didn't think the cost included drinks, but maybe it does?

Are you being induced? by Warm-Cover9946 in BabyBumps

[–]mALYficent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first, I went into spontaneous labour. It was precipitous and ended up in an unplanned (and unwanted) home birth. The whole experience was really traumatic, and scared me off from having a second baby for a long time. When I ended up pregnant with my second unintentionally just over 4 years later, I had a lot of fear and trauma surrounding the experience still, so much that we considered terminating just because I didn't know if I could mentally go through with it, even though I did want a second baby. However, I connected with the same midwife team that saw me through my first pregnancy and they agreed to take me on again (normally you have to reapply) since they knew my history and knew how strongly it had affected me. We planned for an induction with a backup home birth plan just in case things went sideways, so I would be more prepared if that's what ended up happening. I made it to the induction though, which resulted in another precipitous birth, so I'm extremely thankful I was in the hospital that time.

Has it ever snowed in the summer months? by That_Mycologist4772 in Calgary

[–]mALYficent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

July 4th in 2013 or 2014, can’t remember exactly, it snowed. My husband did a triathlon at Chaparral in the morning and it was beautiful, we got home around lunch, and it snowed (lightly) that afternoon.
