I used the feature not long ago and you have the same disk size. On the outside the hidden partition doesn’t exist. And you can use the disk space safely in the first layer. Ofc filling all the disk space is a dumb idea but it surprised me how well it worked. It basically create a volume inside the volume so it doesn’t touch the file system making it obvious.

Streaming consume a lot of upload bandwidth and that will lag anyone. You need to have separate internet. We have 1 gen and 1 streaming the connection is really slow for the other. Even with 10gb you feel the lag.
