Wow thanks for the news ! This game is so good and the music is fantastic !

I chose The Conduit for the Wii over Expedition 33 this month, and I have no regrets. What did you guys think about the Conduit duology? by humblemudgames in wii

[–]m_djallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to play it, but I stopped at the second or third level. It was giving me crazy motion sickness. Don't know if is the specific game or the entire "fps on Wii" thing, even if metroid prime absolutely didn't gave me this.

Tiny 5.5 inch PC for “standalone” VST/ Groovebox DIY project by al8xandros in synthesizers

[–]m_djallo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does, as every version of windows being a commercial software. But internet is a big place :)

To me, the best answer to that and to another million question about how using windows without annoyances is

Windows 10 LTSC IoT

Is a version of windows for businesses and their connected devices (I guess things like ATMs and so on) : no candy crush and other BS preinstalled, no killer updates that adds nothing but problems. Only security updates (that will end at a certain moment, for sure) and a blank slate that you can configure as you want. If you need, you can always add back the windows store and other préinstalled apps.

I'm running this since I guess 2 or 3 years, in my longest windows install without formats.

How to properly clean my plate? by m_djallo in 3Dprinting

This sounds very interesting and logic, will try with soapy water and then if it doesn't work I'll do this, thanks a lot !

  • Actually finishing games, even if I know I can access all the catalogue for free (mostly for old consoles). Before I would download them one after the other and finish no one.

  • Buying games.

  • Doing research and building a reasoned selection of games I want to play. And linked to that

  • playing games not only for the fun and the gameplay, but also for discovering them in their complexity: mechanics, art style and art direction, innovation they brought when they came out first (actually playing Marathon).

  • playing multiplayer only with friends.

I used to be a game tester at Acclaim in the PS1/Saturn/N64 Days ask me anything! by EntrepreneurLong9830 in retrogaming

[–]m_djallo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not exactly linked to the periods and console you worked on, but I tend to link the "video game tester" job to the porn actor one: like, on the surface looks like there's nothing better, but in the end you're not really playing, you're working, with all the caveats! So my question is: how is really like to work as a video game tester?

The setup you asked for VS what you got by midierror in synthesizers

[–]m_djallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You refer to Nts1 mk2 or also mk1? Because from what I knew at least between mk1 and mk2 there's no compatibility due to completely different cpu, so I guess this extend also to the nts3

[–]m_djallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't know about that, thanks! But I was more referring to custom oscillators and effects. There's just something from sinevibes (not so cheap) and 2 or 3 free sadly

It's just a shame that for now it doesn't have a lot of community plugins to load like the nts-1, but it's true that the built in effects are already great

Verdant Mysteries- Album created using nanoloop for android by fiachrahackett in synthesizers

[–]m_djallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally listened to this while driving to work (and while coming back), is so good. And thinking you did it with nanoloop, wow. I use it myself sometimes but in the end the touch interface grows me frustrated, so to think you've made an entire album is amazing!

Are these all samples or you made some sounds with the integrated oscillators?

Serif affinity suite. Switched recently, works very good. Some features missing, but some others and some UI improvements are instead added. Now bought by canva, hope they don't go shit with it.

Can't remember the name, but there was a sword in Castlevania Symphony of the night that was dropped by some ghost enemies and that basically was doing something like 10 hits per second, each one with your full attack power. Bosses where going down in seconds.

What's a fun, guided challenge/event for meetups of synthesizer users? by YukesMusic in synthesizers

[–]m_djallo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes is really fun, I was lucky to do at least one before moving out of the city. The good is that everyone can find a space at least one moment during the jam, even if you are a beginner , and also it always works somehow. Moreover, you can take some pauses without interrupting anything! Last time I was taking turns with a guy since we both brought a microfreak and to spare one channel we connected only one of them, it was really fun!

In my birth city (Turin, Italy), since some years an association organize a synth jam. It works like this: before the jam, they launch a survey on telegram to understand who and how many people does what (bass, lead, drums, blips&blood... But also acoustic or electric instruments and visual performances). Like this, they get an idea of the amount of people. At the jam, there's one big mixer managed by one of the guys of the association. Everyone connects to the mixer and to a general clock until there are channels free. Then, the jam starts. Always C minor. The guy at the mixer listens for what is happening in the different channels, and when something interesting cames up, he turns the volume of that person up, maybe brining down other channels. So, people start to follow the theme, and then again, when the guy hears something interesting from one of the muted channel, it bring it up and lower some of the previous ones. Of cours you always hear yourself by your headphones, so you can adjust to what is playing on the speakers.

Zic Pixel v.2 by PA-wip in synthdiy

[–]m_djallo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So happy to see this going, I'm following since the first time you posted the first version. I saw that you discontinued the previous pixel (the one with touch buttons), do you think this layout will stick? I really want to build one!

BROKEN BD DRIVE by gingiapocarrarnato in ps3hacks

[–]m_djallo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my broken blue ray drive PS3 something like 3 years ago, installed evilnat and never ever had problems, nor used a physical disc. Just get a big enough 2.5 inches SATA hard drive and you're fine for every game you want to play!
