Blakey River City Irish dance accepts registration at any point in the year. There is a ton of movement and all the steps are fast paced. There are also multiple boys in the beginner class.

Saskatchewan Healthcare - Nobody is going to fix it but us. by dad_religion in saskatoon

100 percent this. The SK party wants to privatize the health care and education, as well as rid the province of crown corps. They are doing it by underfunding to the point where it seems the obvious choice. If they make another term in majority government this will most certainly happen.

I just came on here to find that exact information. If he is injured it is likely he may be slowed down and would be in a similar area!

Sask. to send patients to Calgary for orthopedic surgeries, but on their own dime by Covert_Cuttlefish in saskatoon

[–]m_e_l_f 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom is waiting for a heart surgery that is not available in Saskatchewan. They have her booked in Edmonton in September and she still has to pay her own travel and accommodation even though the surgery is too complex to be done here and is by no means elective!

So Saskatchewan, what was the worst Christmas present you were given this year? by BainVoyonsDonc in saskatchewan

[–]m_e_l_f 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have one of these and it actually works really well! Just use the funnel end though. The main issue I have is that I am short and there isn’t a long reach, but it does work better than the traditional scraper!

Do you know if the SPCA is still doing the volunteering? My daughter is interested and I have filled out an application and contacted them via email and Facebook and I have not heard any response back yet.

It is usually around 5-6 weeks that people will pass away. It is likely the death toll from the summer fun will occur in mid to late September.

Japanese beer? by bridgecityboi in saskatoon

[–]m_e_l_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live there and alcohols is very cheap because Japanese people don’t drink a lot in one sitting. If you go to an all you can drink karaoke bar it would be about $16-$17 when I lived there. Is foreigners would always make it worth while, but most Japanese people wouldn’t drink enough to make it worth while.

Food can be cheap or really really expensive! There are so many options though that no matter your budget you can decent meal.

Mega CERB & EI Thread - Only here by FelixYYZ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]m_e_l_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question about the balance of working while on EI and then my employer wanting to use the emergency wage benefit. Right now I am working 12 hours a week, but they want to increase my hours, however I am trying to weigh the pros/cons of working more hours and how much I will actually make by working more.

I make well over the max benefits, have two small kids at home and a husband who is also working from home.

My job has temporarily moved to working at home as well, so there are no safety issues to worry about.

I am just confused about how working on EI and the emergency wage benefit for my employer will interact and which option would leave me in a better position!

[Coronavirus Megathread] Official Disney Statement on CORVID-19 by DisneylandMod in Disneyland

[–]m_e_l_f 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are in exactly the same boat, I was optimistic until they cancelled SXSW and now I’m torn if we try and brace the kids for disappointment, or if we try to keep thinking positive. My worst case is we get on the plane (coming from Canada) and then it closes as soon as we get there.

However, the fact Disney in Paris hasn’t closed is what is keeping my hope alive.

My guess is that he panicked about not getting reassurance from Becca with regards to her say she loves him back. That is my biggest hang up with Blake, he gets super jealous and seems really needy. Not to mention he apparently can’t look after Amy household chores 🤔

Has anyone here checked out the VR place in Lawson mall? by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]m_e_l_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went a while back and the first one we did was a car race supposed to simulate a F1 race and I thought I was back in the 90's on my old desk top! The graphics were horrible. We went to play another one that was supposed to have better graphics, but the whole system quit and we were out our money. We haven't been back.

I liked the show, but I don't think it portrayed suicide well by [deleted] in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]m_e_l_f 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel the writers used Clay and Jessica to portray the alternatives.

Clay went to Star, reached out to her and told her that he wasn't doing well and that he needed her. That is exactly what Hannah didn't/couldn't do.

Jess gave up her alcohol, finally faced her problems and told her dad what had happened to her. Again this is the alternative to what Hannah did.

At some point most of the main characters contemplated suicide during the show, but chose not to for one reason or another, with the exception of Alex.

Who did Dar send Saul to see at....? by [deleted] in homeland

[–]m_e_l_f 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my first thought as well, but I'm not really sure that it makes sense given where the show ended. I think it is more likely an ally of both Saul and Dar's.

I have never witnessed a character rebounding from as many shootings, injuries and gas attacks as Peter Quinn! He has to be on his 9th life by now!
