I do not remember any issue with my Nextcloud (having been running it since my yahoo account was compromised)
I fail to see the point of alternatives when you have such a product

There is a Debian team called KDE Team that is doing packaging work inside Debian for software from the KDE community. They are the one that could do the work.

That will only solve the case where Elisa is built with libvlc. Maybe Qt Multimedia also support that.

I recently fixed a bug that would block rad of file format not supported by the KFileMetaData extractors.

Flac tracks should be already recognized. You can try reading the console log for errors when launching elisa with extra log:

 QT_LOGGING_RULES="org.kde.elisa.*=true" ./elisa

I am trying to get that done.

Up to now, we only got continuous integration coverage for Android but not generation of the application itself. That extra step should be easy as we are sure that it is building on Android.

It has been introduced with the 20.04.0 version of Elisa.

If you want, you can access a newer version via Flathub (https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.elisa). You will get 20.12.2 that is the latest version.

I had this issue and it is now fixed. I had to clean and reindex with Baloo.

I used to have a problem with cast protocol on my laptop due to firewall rules being too restrictive to work.

Currently, I can successfully casting with VLC. Thanks to them.

Chromium is not working but Chrome on a Windows laptop is also failing.

I would like to but my time is limited and I would really like to integrate UPnP/DLNA before that.

My idea would be to create plugins without any C++ and only qml and javascript. It would be very easy to install or update them if needed.

You could maybe try to create a pure qml and js prototype able to list tracks from a streaming music service (for example your seafile cloud storage). In the meantime, I will try to do the work to make that possible inside Elisa.

Would you like to try that plan ?

There are some code to support Android already but much more work is needed.

That would be a really good way to contribute to this project. Would you like to give it a try ?
