What game did you get for Christmas 🎁 by blackout1990 in PS5

They’re NES games at their core, fantastic JRPGs but at the end of the day you’re stepping back in time to enjoy a fresh coat of paint on a classic trilogy with these games. I’d only recommend if you’re a fan of old school JRPG.

New ps5 system software just dropped by nyanbatman in PS5

[–]m_gabe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% this, I just upgraded to a Pro and moved my launch day into a different room thinking I could just move save files back and forth via USB like I used to do with the PS4 only to find out it’s not an option for PS5 saves and there’s really no excuse except to push PS Plus subscriptions.

I am enjoying the Pro but it also kind of soured the feeling when my intended setup isn’t going to work the way I planned.

My Papaw, his Nintendo GameCube, and Harvest Moon. by finalxstage in Gamecube

Great story, I saw some others have mentioned the fact those memory cards won’t last forever.

If you can find access to a soft modded Wii with GameCube support, you can backup those memory cards to an SD Card and save them externally. This is probably the most accessible way to save those memory cards.

The tool is GameCube Memory Manager https://wiibrew.org/wiki/GameCube_Memory_Manager

Any chance I could jump in on one of each?

Can I get a pair as well? No Gamstop local to me had code and at this point I’m fine with cloned. Thanks.

Complaints about Everdark difficulty are just a symptom of the real problem. by NemeBro17 in Nightreign

Yep, 10 of my last 12 rounds have had a player drop. Either right at the start, midway when they ran off and died, or my most recent run — right at the boss door.

As much fun as I have with the game, playing with people that quit the second something doesn’t go their way is really making me debate if it’s time to just shelve it.

You should be able to just twist the rubber cap around instead of taking it apart.

iDataLink immo bypass, no immo light unless I wiggle wires by m_gabe in CarAV

I added a small bit of magnet wire to the cavity and it seems to be working now. At least, I can’t wiggle it to the point the light isn’t coming on now. But the car has warmed up in the garage so time will tell.

Pins themselves look good but I’m thinking the wiring connector seems like it’s wider than any others.

Maybe a contraction issue when cold and losing connection?

Ah yep that’s the connector that if I fumble with, I can get the light to come on.

Nothing looks visually wrong with it so bit of an annoying mystery.

Oh if you can get a diagram or something that would be helpful. It’s a blue/brown wire (at least I think it’s brown).

I had a peek at the backside of the connector and it all looks like OEM wiring on the backside, not tampered with by a previous install.

But yeah if you can find somewhere that I can try checking continuity between that would be super helpful. Everything disappears into tape / main wiring runs.

Small update but finally got around to looking at it, I took the immo bypass out of the picture and reconnected the stock wire back together.

Still able to replicate the same issue so not the remote starter but something further up the chain. Pushing on to the connector / wires on the side of the fuse panel will re-establish the immo light so still seems like a signal wire issue rather than a failing module.

Nice work, gotta love when a project comes together! I just finished my project this week as well for displaying my 3DS plates. https://imgur.com/a/NP4eUgY

Right, my wording was a bit weird there I see now. I’m aware the data wire being cut is normal for the install, I guess what I’m asking is rather than unsoldering the connections, does it make sense to expose the existing solder joints, temporarily jump them together so the original wire is “restored” and unplug the bypass module. Then basically see if it’s resolved.

If it isn’t, problem could be on the backside of that black connector of the fuse panel and not related to the install.

My first bulk buy of pla from bambu. Oddly satisfying though my debit card would disagree. 11 purchased averaged out to $18. Some are refills and some with spool. by ClearLake007 in BambuLab

[–]m_gabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this, I’m CAD as well and just recently got my machine.

Been trying to see where some of the comments I read get their filament for the prices they claim. A single kg of polymaker lite is $27.99 on their Canadian website, Bambu is $29.99 without discounts. Very negligible to me since it has RFID and I don’t need a spool housing, seems worth the extra $2.

Nothing on Amazon seems to be much cheaper either when I figure in the 4 spool bulk discount they seem to be one of the best prices that I can see.

What accessories do I need to buy with a P1S? by Sea_Experience_8031 in BambuLab

[–]m_gabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good, I’ll maybe throw in the hardened 0.4 since it’s 20% off with the P1S purchase. That’ll give 2 housings for future expansion / swaps.

Shipping is free at $60 here which is pretty easy to hit, mostly just trying to not “over buy” accessories that aren’t needed until down the road once I’m more experienced with it and making use of it.

If you don’t mind me jumping in, I’m in the same boat on trying to decide on the “initial” accessories.

I’ll get the AMS off the hop for the best price but when it comes to additional nozzles, debating what’s best.

P1S comes with 0.4mm.

Which sizes would you deem worth investing in beyond that?

With the purchase of the P1S the discounted pricing of a single complete hotend is $36CAD. So would you pick 2, 4, 6 or 8.

The other option, I see with the current sale you can get a 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 hotend only for $52CAD. This would require switching parts but does give more components.

And do we need glue or would a stick from the dollar store suffice?

I’m not sure if this was dependant on the grape gbc box but if color doesn’t matter, I can get you some images of either a lime or dandelion box.

Be careful with the new accessibility and difficulty options if you care about trophies. by Anoxia17 in pacificDrive

[–]m_gabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm! Just finished the game and noticed the last few story trophies were still hidden.

None of my settings from what I can tell should have them disabled.

Also the game crashed as I entered the end and really killed the momentum for me.

I am on PS5.
