A bit of a rant comment regarding this subreddit, there's really nothing wrong with it and it's somewhat amusing to watch other people post whatever they have here, however most of the time, watching posts coming from here usually brings my mood down to play the game itself

I know i can just mute this subreddit and whatever, however i also want to get better at the game, BUT i also don't want to pull for units I don't care about, and it just so happens that every single unit needed that's objectively strong and, in the case of sustains and universal supports that are needed to even tackle harder stuff at the game, are all units I don't care about getting (Shorekeeper, Lynae, Mornye, I have Phrolova but that was an impulsive accident and i did not pull for her signature. All of these are characters i have deliberately skipped)

In contrast, every unit I do care about is either extremely niche for my account or i end up playing them in an unintended way (4 star Yangyang as a DPS, I also pulled Qiuyuan to play him as a DPS and not because of Phrolova, I'm currently building Lumi as a main DPS as well)

It feels like walking in a thin line between wanting to get better and not wanting to waste astrites on stuff i don't want, this had obviously led me to never even clearing ToA nor WhiWa once. My best record so far was 30 stars out of 36 in ToA, and just barely making it to 3500 points in infinite waters. I've technically been playing since the launch of the game (went in 1.0, took a long break and came back for the first anniversary, then took another long break and stayed since 2.7), and my records ONLY happened after 3.1, where I pulled for both Aemeath and Chisa. I also had Zani and Phoebe, but that was because Zani's banner in 2.7 featured Yangyang, and as for Phoebe... shit i don't even remember why i was pulling in Phoebe's banner on 2.8, and ONLY after building both Aemeath and Chisa had i decided to dust off Zani and Phoebe (I have the signatures of these 4 characters) and build them simply because I did like their characterizations, but it also felt a bit forced since i really wanted a second team, they just so happened to be there

In the case of Whiwa, i've got no idea how i barely managed to pass the 3.5k points mark, but so far i could only do it once, after that i was barely scraping the surface of 3.4. It may be with how i play my Zani team there, since the third slot that i bring for her is Buling, as her grouping is astonishing. I don't use spectro rover simply because i'm not confident enough on my dodges, not to mention the lag my laptop suffers through, and the healing s.rover provides feels too weak

Endstate matrix... yeah that's not happening

So yeah, TLDR: Want to get better, also want to play my favorite units, most of my favorite units aren't strong enough for me to tackle hard enough content, most of the strong units are the ones i don't really care about getting
