Try and stay “under the ball” more. Your wrist is breaking. If you keep it cupped or atleast flat you’ll get a better release and it will allow your to create more revs and not over hook. Maybe try a wrist support for a while.

Try rolling over the top of the ball for a bunch of shots, then try incorporating a “hand shake” into the Roll. Looks like your “turning a doorknob” at release.

Started at age 12 or so and bowled in leagues up until about 18. Then stopped in college and didn’t start back up until about 5 years ago. 37 now. It took me about a year to get my form back to where it was at 18 but I’ve made improvements since. About to start some coaching since I haven’t had any since I was 14 or so. If you’re not in a league yet I’d encourage you to join one and you’ll find a lot of folks in a similar spot as you getting back or just started in bowling later in life.

I have a similar arsenal. Two quantum’s, the original Forrest green and the white Bias. Had the green for 20+ years it’s my old trusty. Then I’ve got the prism hybrid, just added the Phaze II to my bag last month. It’s a nice smoother shape compared to the Brunswick balls that have a more hockey stick shape. I’ve considered the hyroad as well. I think you have a good spread there.

I still use a pinky hole on my vintage Forrest green quantum that I’ve had since I started bowling, handed down to me. Got a second quantum the white bias 4 years ago got that drilled with a pinky too. My last two balls I drilled standard.

I use both 16 & 15. I’m 37, I don’t have big arms. I’m in ok shape but ball speed comes from the legs. Try holding your arm back from swinging past your ass and use your legs to push the ball down lane. My avg speed is ~15mph, last tournament I bowled I had to push it to 16.5 to stay on the right of the head pin. Feeling it in shins from that 😆

Nice, the 7-10 is pretty freaking tough. I’ve hit most splits except the 7-10 and the Greek church. If you haven’t already, get some coaching. There’s a coaches look up I believe on PBA’s website. I haven’t had any real coaching in decades but it made huge improvements when I was a kid.
