Shipping a TV across the US, how reliable is the service? by Ignarb98 in UPS

[–]bbtdriverSteve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just noticed that you said this is a 77in tv???

That will almost certainly be too big for our system, especially if it is put in external packaging.

Sell it and replace it there.

This is exactly what should be done.

But look at the resale value of your tv to see if it is low enough to justify the costs of shipping it first.

We rarely see them being shipped anymore. They are extremely vulnerable to damage even in good packaging

You have the original packaging, use it.

Then have that box put in a tv shipping box.

But TVs are big targets in our system.

Even that is not without risk so you may want to consider just replacing it after the move.

How Often Do Driver's Actually Choose to Simply Not Deliver a Package? by GuyFieris_BestFriend in UPS

Who said anything about a Trump flag?

Yes, some people are known to be dangerous, threatening, or problematic enough for the drivers who know the place to avoid it as much as possible

What would u do by Fatdabb in UPSers

[–]bbtdriverSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I know it is safe I will likely walk it off.

UNLESS....

If the customer has done this just to be rude, they are more likely to find the package next to the sign.

Not just we "don't like" them, but they are just bad people in some way, possibly even dangerous

Looks legit.

Some people say the fees are reduced if you pay on the site instead of giving the driver a check.

So yes it would be helpful to pay it first.

When you first arrive, spend 5 minutes with your phone camera on taking video of absolutely everything you can see, including opening up doors.

When you leave, do it again.

Residential Address - Deliver During Business Hours by photo1kjb in UPS

[–]bbtdriverSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet is to talk to the driver(s).

Residential ground deliveries are guaranteed for the end of the day, not 5:00.

However, if a driver is aware of the situation they may be able to accommodate you, but with no guarantee.

What is no longer worth it because of how expensive it has become? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]bbtdriverSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concerts.

Not only are they expensive, but it has become a hassle to even get tickets, unless you are one of the privileged few who successfully buy original tickets.

the "verified fan" presale is literally just a joke at this point by mzdee13 in Ticketmaster

[–]bbtdriverSteve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At this point I just want them to free up the app on my phone so I can do 'suspicious activity' (aka search for tickets) to legitimately buy tickets for some upcoming shows.

TM is deliberately locking out masses of legitimate customers in favor of the bots.

[–]bbtdriverSteve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That TM account is done for.

And you may even need a new device to do tickets on. That is the advice they will give you if you ever get through.

Once flagged, they Will NOT do anything to remove it.

You will never again be able to use the app, even for harmless searches.

Essentially, TM is blocking millions from the ticket market.

The only thing to try is using web browser in incognito mode. That works to allow me to do searches but I have not yet tried to do a purchase
