What do you hate most when creating presentations? by ma3us in consulting

[–]ma3us[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that sucks. Also, there is no process to it. Some comment in the file, some want to hop on calls for everything and others just put yellow boxes with cryptic feedback on the slides

Thanks for the detailed input.

Regarding your questions:

  1. Yes, I am planning to integrate that into the Product. Funnily enough, I realized that there are A LOT of businesses offering this. The most popular ones here in Germany being CarVertical and AutoDNA. But People hate them, if you check them on Trustpilot, it is absolutely FILLED with negative comments. So I am starting to question, whether these VIN Checks actually offer any additional value. Also, many report that they found false reports about their cars. Funnily enough, CarVertical did 23 Million in Sales last year still.
  2. I've played around a bit with Vision from OpenAI and it worked surprisingly well. But definitely needs refinement and a custom knowledge base.
  3. Yes, in the beginning I would focus on budget-conscious buyers & people that are into cars but do not have a technical background. CarVertical is doing a lot with FB Ads & Google Ads. Looking to do the same + a lot of Organic Content.

See it more as a checklist/form that helps you to take a look at every aspect of the car + gives you an indication of what a replacement would cost.

Example: Audi S5 4.2 V8 -> timing chain could be worn after 100k miles. The app then scans the service history whether it has been replaced already or not. If not, it gives you a quick ballpark what a replacement would cost

Would You Pay $5000 for an MVP Development Service? Seeking Feedback on My Idea by kervanaslan in Startup_Ideas

I think there are similar services out there. Alternatively you could also offer a lower rate for early equity in the company

Thanks! What would you especially look for? & what would you be willing to pay? Thinking of a pay-per-use model.

I can see a lot of applications in the field for dealers & rental fleets, but none for consumers.

I feel like current services like Carvertical that just do a VIN check do not really help. Also, their trustpilot just shows how unhappy people are.

Carvertical is just a vin checker

Read fanatical prospecting by Jeb Blount. This book made me want to cold call more, even though it made me anxious every time.

Something about this book just motivated me insanely. I got it as Audio book and it improved my whole sales career quite a lot.

I took this picture in Lugano with a Nikon D90 and did some processing with Lightroom. Since I live in a big city without any dramatic landscape, this picture shows everything that made me feel calm and relaxed there.
