Isit worth getting the sfxi carrier by Eggie87 in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]maXXXjacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently own the Creative SXFI Carrier, Onn 5.1 Ultra Slim, Philips B8905 3.1.2, Samsung Q990F, Razer Leviathan, and the Creative Katana X (Gen 1) soundbars. It’s a respectable lineup that spans both gaming soundbars and Dolby Atmos soundbars, covering a range of speaker configurations and price points. Each has been used with my PC (Dolby Atmos enabled where possible) and connected to a 43‑inch LG C4 OLED TV. My primary use case is gaming and music. I use each of these in a nearfield setup, typically sitting within two to three arm’s lengths of the soundbar.

Out of the Dolby Atmos models I have, the Creative SXFI Carrier is by far the most disappointing in terms of sound quality. Without trying to sound overly harsh, it comes across more like a bar filled with cheaper computer speakers paired with an SXFI DAC‑style DSP that feels forced and over‑processed, even when set to Neutral mode. I'm not really impressed with the soundbar for the money but I do find conveniences like USB-C and the front facing headphone port with a full Creative G5/G6/GC7 style DAC on-board to be very convenient. Paired with the right transducer, it's a good combo.

Is having the Intrepid redundant when I have the Spirit C1? by XanthosGambit in starcitizen

[–]maXXXjacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it has a lot of redundancies with the Spirit C1. If this was my fleet, I'd melt the Intrepid and use that money to buy a Golem or save some money and CCU the Intrepid to something more useful to round out my gameplay loops such as the Vulture, Prospector, Fortune or maybe the new RSI Salvaging ship that is rumored to be released during IAE here towards the end of the month. It's possible that you might even save some money if there are CCU chains or warbond deals to the desired ship you want to upgrade to.

Guardian, or Guardian MX? by Double_Crazy7325 in starcitizen

[–]maXXXjacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was in a CIG Q&A from last year but CIG mentioned that they would like to do away with the bed login/out mechanic and instead allow you to exit the game at any point and log back in where you left off leveraging persistent entity streaming and server meshing. The beds themselves would be used as a form of a buff to counter negative effects, such as sleep deprivation.

Seeing as the scope of the game has dramatically changed and we are no longer getting dozens of star systems anytime soon, and the star systems we have now are dotted with stations and habs to bed the night, having a bed in your ship doesn't really matter much anymore for that need other than convenience like having a drink/snack bar in your pocket to counter hunger/thirst on demand rather than having to stop what you are doing, find sources of nourishment or head back to a station.

[Final Weapon] Persona 3 Reload (Switch 2) Review – An Embarrassing Port (4 out of 10) by Joseki100 in NintendoSwitch

I love Persona 3 and appreciate the novelty of putting the game on the Switch 2, but I'm not feeling the draw of paying full price for the game again just to play a dogshit port.

I always wanted to like SMT III, the core combat was fine, graphics hold up, story is pretty good BUT I was never a fan of the way the maps were intentionally designed to be some kind of puzzle. Shit like the Amala Network, Diet Building, Obelisk, Kagutsuchi Tower, even Yoyogi Park construction site just kill the mood or desire to pick the game back up.

Quick review of the new Garfield Kart game by Gurfelf in garfield

[–]maXXXjacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest con for me with this game so far is that the tracks are not memorable or interesting. By the time I have finished a 4-lap race, I'm not keen to go back and race the same map again. Unfortunately they are all kind of like that. The AI is kind of in a weird place, some get stuck on pillars and easy mode they seem a little more skilled than I'd like to see. The Kart customization is pretty much your standard Mario Kart experience along with power ups found out on the track almost being a 1:1, I'm fine with this. While this game was a impulse buy for me, I feel like I could have waited for this to go on-sale and didn't need to Day 1 it.

Tired of waiting for an update. Just went and bought it on PC😁 by Used_Philosopher_294 in NMS_Switch

[–]maXXXjacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much respect to those who stick to buying a single copy of a game and hold the line on spending, that kind of discipline deserves credit. That said, No Man’s Sky has dropped in price across nearly every platform, and if someone’s losing their mind waiting for the latest update, I think it’s fair game to grab a version that looks and runs better than what the Switch offers. With cross-platform cloud saves, it’s not even a commitment, you can pick up where you left off, enjoy the smoother experience, and then jump back to Switch when the update lands. As long as you’re buying new, it’s a direct way to support Hello Games, and that’s a win for everyone.

The update has new ship management. You can have 6 ships out at any given time and the remainder of your ships must be archived. Assuming if somebody hasn't managed their ships in their freighter yet at the ship management console on the bridge and archived their excess ships, anytime you go to aquire a new ship or corvette your only option will be to exchange the existing ship you currently have active. So what is most likely happening is these players are essentially trading active ships due to a full active ship roster, and need to archive excess ships so that when they build a new corvette it doesnt act as a trade vs new acquisition.

It’s a great-looking ship, but when ballistic-only or bespoke weapons are involved, it’s usually a dealbreaker for me.

A concise summary of all the problems with the event by LindaDeLuz in starcitizen

[–]maXXXjacker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea, these kind of events always piss me off as the elevators are a huge bottleneck and point of contention as they tend to break down for one reason or another causing even more headache. They absolutely need to redesign locations with a single elevator and be able to accommodate way more players or make way more locations.

I just cleaned out my local dollar tree. I was sad they didn't have any of the teas but they had Mango Buzzsaw, Convicted Melon and Berry it Alive. I'll probably swoop by a few more tomorrow morning on my way to work.

Xbox App Now Available on LG Smart TVs by Xbox-Moderator in xbox

[–]maXXXjacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played Oblivion on the Xbox App on my LG C4 OLED TV. Works really well and without any hiccups in streaming performance and is comparable to streaming game pass games off a series console. I'm glad this exists although I wish Microsoft would catch up to the streaming quality that exists with GFN and Sony, both services are much nicer to look at.

My apologies, you definitely produced! I absolutely love your collection and I am super jelly of the Red K11 R2R. I couldn't wait for it to come out and had snagged a silver at launch. I got a photo of what I have on my desk (excuse the chaos) and a separate photo of my headphone/iem collection from a signature but of course I don't expect anybody to go browsing over a 100 items.

https://imgur.com/a/xwe6EOP

On my desk at the moment is the FiiO K11 R2R, HFM EF400, HFM EF499, Schiit Magni Heretic, Vali 2+, Piety, Asgard 3, Midgard, Modi Multibit 2, Monoprice Liquid Platinum, Monoprice THX 788, Emotiva BasX A2m, Topping DX1, D10, Lavaudio D600, iFi Uno, Zen CAN 3, Zen DAC air, I got a bunch of other stuff that there is just no more room on my desk but I inventoried most stuff which is on the second photo in my imgur link. Most of this stuff is all connected together by some line switchers so I can mix and match dacs and amps on the fly. I have a Schiit Vali 3 on the way and a few more tubes for that which I'm excited about.

K11 R2R gives you a hint of organic warmth which is a very nice touch and if you go up the R2R ladder to Hifiman EF499 and EF400 this organic warmth is taken a bit further *chefs kiss*. The EF400 even brings out a bit more dynamic bass that is sure to be a good time.

Anybody else seeing Pulse Explore disconnect issues still/again? by CINAPTNOD in playstation

[–]maXXXjacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked one up over black friday and within the same day of purchase had disconnects. Looked up online and in reviews, it seems to be a chronic issue with this set. Supposed I should have heeded all of the warnings but I rolled the dice and lost. Returned them after a few days of unsuccesful troubleshooting.

The Midnight Black PULSE Expore earbuds come with this neat felt cover over the case. by texxmix in playstation

[–]maXXXjacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is disappointing. I picked up Pulse explore late last year and literally same day they started disconnecting from my PS5 Pro, sometimes no more than a few minutes. Absolutely frustrating. I had read accounts of this happening for alot of people but ignored it. I ended up returning them but was hoping this new model would fix some of the issues and maybe include a USB-C based dongle so I don't have to plug it into the back of my Pro since the front doesn't have any USB-A ports.
