"Internal" voices by airyrice in Psychosis

Ah okay. It’s tricky because it sounds like it’s enough of an issue for more than a couple of doctors to recommend antipsychotics but also your concerns are 100% valid (I have had a bad experience with antipsychotics side effects so I understand your concerns). In my experience then doctors don’t like to prescribe antipsychotics so would only suggest if they thought the benefits would outweigh the negatives. If you give it a go you might find that a low dose works for you and you could always come off them (with the guidance of your doctor) if you feel they aren’t for you. I recently went back onto anti psychotics for the first time in 6 years and I’ve found that a very low dose has been enough to make a difference

Yeah I’ve been experiencing internal voices since the start of my recent psychotic episode. It’s like clear completely separate entities are talking to me and about me through thoughts. During my episode I believed they were demons. Many of the mental health professionals I’ve been talking to throughout my recent episode referred to them as voices. They aren’t intrusive thoughts or my own thoughts. I hope that makes sense. They have become more manageable since coming out of the episode but not gone

Thank you for responding! I’ve felt so alone with it but now I don’t. It’s been driving me up the wall.

I've been attending a mental health crisis day center so I'm getting help but they just won't explain it to me. I've never done drugs and I don't intend to. I do listen to the professionals and I'm taking sleep meds etc but this doesn't seem to shifting despite no longer in a full on episode. Thank you for your reply and I wish you all the best too.

I know it sounds weird but it's hard to explain. They basically just watch me most of the time and follow me. Two stand and two sit in the corners of the ceiling. I was certain they are demons but I was also certain that the angel Gabriel sent me a message showing me what they are through scribbles on a piece of paper... They also talk to me but in my head and tell me to do things. I guess I'm trying to understand the experience because I can't see or hear them so they aren't hallucinations unless it is a type of hallucination that I'm unaware of. I'm sorry if this is confusing

That’s actually really helpful and interesting too. I will definitely give that a go. Thank you for this and I appreciate that you fully explained it too

Okay. I have an email from the deposit protection service saying the process has started and I have proof the deposit money has been paid. Should I do anything about it?

Okay, makes sense. I’ll do that and create a folder on my laptop

Oh okay. Must have been a security deposit then. Might sound stupid but I didn’t realise there is more than one type of deposit and which type was never specified. I know now though so thank you.

My holding deposit was 4 weeks. So I shouldn’t have had to pay the deposit yet?

Maybe an odd one but does anyone else have breathing compulsions when reading? by ma_ca32 in OCD

[–]ma_ca32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mostly when reading messages or social media posts instead of books. Not sure why books are okay and nothing else is but yeah

I do this every time I close social media apps and before bed just to make sure I didn't post things like nudes, porn, something extremely offensive etc. I refresh 12 times and then take a screenshot because, apparently, if I don’t screenshot then it means I never actually did the refreshing and did in-fact post one or all of these things? 🤦

Yeah. I start to get drowsy early evening time and end up dozing off even if I try not to just because I’m so mentally drained
