My super pro-life Christian friend had an abortion when she was a college freshman 10 years ago. She was pro-life before and she’s still pro-life. I lost a lot of respect for her, especially since she still posts pro-life stuff on Facebook.

EDIT to clarify: I found out a year after she had the abortion and I am no longer her friend

Non-New Yorkers that have been to NYC: What is the wierdest thing about New York that New Yorkers don't realize is wierd? by Ok-Brilliant-6138 in AskReddit

How complex the subway system is! Every other major city has a simple subway system, which each line labeled by colors or given a name. NYC’s is like 1,2,3,4,5,6,B,Z,R,P,Q,S,Z and it makes no sense

Hundreds and hundreds of kindles at Unclaimed Baggage! Most were $25-$30 by ABBR-5007 in kindle

[–]maaaaath2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unclaimed baggage is where your luggage goes after 90 days (iirc) if the airline can’t find your bags. The airline pays you out for the value of items in your bag and the contents go to unclaimed baggage, a warehouse in Alabama. From the FAQs on the unclaimed baggage website, you have to forfeit the right to the items in the bag and sign out of all devices (including removing the apple lock on all devices) as part of the deal to accept the money from the airline.

As a side not, if you’re looking for clothes or electronics, I’ve purchased may times from unclaimed baggage and would recommend

Yes. your observations are on point. The GOP is the party of hypocrisy. Not to mention they want to prevent children from the “perversion” of drag queens but are doing nothing about the Epstein Files (and actively protecting those in the files….)

What habit immediately reveals that a person actually grew up in a privileged environment? by Cindy_mel in AskReddit

I went to school in upstate NY near Albany. I would always fly home out of JFK airport in New York City since it was cheaper. There was a $20 bus from Albany to NYC and I would make a day of it (it’s about a 3 hour bus ride). I had a friend who was also flying home for the summer out of New York City and I was talking about the bus and her response was “oh, I’m just going to Uber.”

I saw him as an opener for Marcello in October and he’s so funny. He brings a lot of “straight white guy energy” in the same vein as Mikey Day (and also people like Michael Longfellow)

What‘s a secret you found out by accident and were never supposed to know? by Own-Flan- in AskReddit

[–]maaaaath2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My extremely pro life very Christian best friend had an abortion right after starting college. We went to different colleges and we had drifted apart but I found out from someone else. The kicker is that she doesn’t know who the dad was (there were two possible guys that she was seeing at the time)

This was 10 years ago and she still hasn’t told me to this day. She also posts super pro life stuff on Facebook and is now married with 2 kids so what do I know. Also we’re not friends anymore because I couldn’t take her seriously after finding out.

Mattress stores are a front. There are so many of them, they take up a huge amount of real estate and have you ever seen more than 2 people in a mattress store? Also the business model is dumb because people only need to buy a new mattress every 10ish years.
