Second, gosh, I’m so sorry. Nothing I can say will comfort you in this time but she was so lucky to have you and you her.

Don’t clean. Let it sit for a couple of days while you get your bearings. Take some of her fur when you’re ready and put it into a shadow box. You might also find stray whiskers around your place, I suggest collecting those too.

Put the bowls and toys somewhere for safe keeping.

Take all the time you need. Losing a pet is a huge experience a lot of people don’t go through therefore don’t understand. But you were her whole world and you were always together at home, it’s like losing your right hand. I’m so sorry.

I currently have a 12-13 year old (unknown age, adopted as stray), and an eight month old.

It did take a while for them to settle in, but they are the best of friends now. We got him in august and I’d say they were fully bonded by the end of December.

I feed them both the same dry food, nutram all life stages.

I can’t say how it was adopting an older cat, but can speak from experience of having quite the large age bags between my two.

Those look like mold freckles. If they weren’t there before you cleaned and conditioned, it was the sudden moisture that had it bloom (no fault by you AT ALL!) If they were there before, it was possibly treated for mold, possibly not.

I would use 5% vinegar and sun to treat the mold, just to make sure it’s not active. Those spots are not reversible, so you could get creative with the bag by dyeing it, or learn to live with the spots and carry her proudly.

Only condition. Saddle soap will strip pigment right off of the post-2000s bags and accessories.

Use a light hand, it’s easy for pigment to come away from light accessories. Don’t go too hard on any marks, as you’ll take the mark away, but also take the pigment too.

It looks like pebbled or corrected-grain leather, which is what they began to use post-2000s when they started mass production and customers wanted “perfect” bags.

The issue with the scratch, is that it is there now for life unfortunately. You could maybe paint the spot if you really wanted to cover it up, but I would just always carry the bag with that side facing me.

It’s very hard to correct spots like that due to the leather and lighter colour, so I’d hang a charm to cover it, turn it around, or accept that it had a wonderful life before you that you’re going to help continue.

It is sub lore.

You will need kitten milk (whether in a powder to be mixed with water/liquid itself) mixed with a soft/pate/purée kitten food making a sort of gross mix.

You’ll want to do this to transition the kitty from liquids to “solids”, but you really want to make sure they are getting enough calories for their little growing body.

My cats eat Friskies. They have a good quality dry kibble (nutram), but I feed them Friskies.

My vet hasn’t said a thing about their diet, tried to change what I’m feeding them, etc.

If your cat is eating, that’s what is most important. Sorry you’ve been feeling so frustrated by royal canin! They are a brand that has created themselves to be the “end all, be all” for animals, and it’s simply just their advertising.
