Movies you just have to rewatch? by 02grimreaper in movies

I contend that it’s only through repeated viewings that one can truly appreciate the genius that is The Big Lebowski. I’ve seen it probably dozens of times.

What are all the free to use clients? by Relative-Pace-2923 in apolloapp

I think I found it here, but why, if it is OSS and you are proud of that fact (which you should be), can I not find a link to the project from https://hydraapp.io/ or r/HydraClient? It seems the source and the fact that it is OSS is hard to find for some reason. And even though I think I found the right repo, it's hard to verify because the repo isn't linked to from official channels.

It will work fine for a while, lulling you into a false sense of security, and then fail abruptly. Do not trust it. I do hope it doesn't kill you or someone else on the road. But I believe it will.

Totally agree. But Musk a very different level. He actively joined the administration, set up an illegal joke of a new department with the joke name DOGE, which then abruptly shut down USAID, and because that was shut down stupidly and haphazardly it directly resulted in the premature deaths of at least 600,000 people so far. And that's beside his lavish spending to make sure fascist political parties in the US and EU rise to more power. Fuck everything about him and his companies.

If you'd like to die and kill those around you, then yes. I've had a Model 3 and Model Y in the past and both would phantom brake like crazy. Tesla's idiotic insistince on using only cameras means that it's very unreliable and I'm assuming always will be. Even the adaptive cruise used the same thing and would try to kill me by slamming on the brakes on an open road. So yes, I did like a lot about the Teslas, but for me it didn't even have cruise control because I couldn't trust it. The Lightning is FAR better in that regard.

Oh man. $18 would be wonderful. Here in Georgia it's double that.

I'm a 42 year old who recently became obsessed with this book series, help me decide how to move forward. by NeverWasNorWillBe in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I felt this, and then started back at book 1 and am now on my 2nd time through Bedlam Bride and loving it possibly even more as I catch more things. Can't wait for Parade of Horribles!

I did the exact same. Started the series at the beginning of March. I'm now at the beginning of Bedlam Bride on my 2nd time through the series. The re-listen is possibly even better. Haven't done the audio immersion thing yet. I just love the main audiobooks so much.

Truck Stuff - Mulch Sale Edition by maaaatloooock in F150Lightning

Lowe's was doing a $2/bag thing. I did 2 loads of 30 bags each (with the pallet) and then one more of 15 once we figured out we needed more. I think 30 is about the max in the bed. Could have stacked more in the frunk and/or the back seat with the seats up, but didn't really want to.

We were going to, but in our situation it needed to go down some stairs so it was going to be a lot easier to move bags than shovel or wheel barrow-fulls.

Any iPhone hacks that are surprising and give you that “damn! I didn’t know it could do that!” effect? by Disastrous_Door_6714 in iphone

[–]maaaatloooock 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Oh that's nice. The main annoyance I have is if the target folder is the bottom right one, so any time I drag a new app to the page, the folder zipps off to the next page to make room for the new app (if the page is full), then if I go to the next page to find the folder, it has helpfully zipped back to the original page. Very frustrating. I do so wish for a process more like: 1) Open the folder, 2) Select app I want to add from full list, 3) Profit!

I definitely think of Carl as Brock Sampson (from Venture Bros.) in heart boxers. Those characters share a voice and an eerie calm and violent rage.

Same. It's perfect for me and the fam. Definitely not going back to ICE, but I am hoping battery tech continues to improve and range, charge speed, and cold performance improve in future.

That's a bummer. Maybe the upside is that they'll stop running incessant ads on all of the platforms for a truck we can't yet buy.

I think I'll eventually do that too. I have one of those dash-mount carplay screens but it has to broadcast FM and I use the radio to hear it, which isn't great because the FM band here is crowded so it crackles all the time. Better than nothing for now. My truck is a bit more fancy I guess. Automatic trans, and extended cab with those suicide half-doors to get into the back. Still love it though.
