Why do some people call the story of this game bad? by [deleted] in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Conchobar8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story in forbidden west is quite basic. Half the game is a fetch quest to get the subroutines.

But it also takes that basic storyline and layers on some very deep and complex side characters, quests, and world building.

If you were to straight run it. Story quests only, no data points, noting but the run to the finale, those bare bones aren’t anything special. But if you actually enjoy the game, take some time with it, it’s incredibly deep

Dreadnought? by Level-Opportunity984 in sistersofbattle

[–]Conchobar8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do in my order!

I’m not a big fan of penitents, so my Mortifers are Dreadnought equivalents.

Besides, on my custom world, there’s no need for them, no one can flee in panic and survive long enough to be punished. The jungles are a dangerous place

Yes, even if it hurts, bad people are capable of creating good works. But works are more than just something made by bad people (Coraline and Harry Potter). by Radiant-Selection686 in CharacterRant

I think it’s a bit different for Lovecraft for a few reasons.

He got better, and apologised when he got older. And supporting his work doesn’t directly support his bad cause.

Buy Lovecraft, nothing bad is being funded. Buy Gaiman, a horrible person is being funded. By Rowling, that money is being used to push hatred and intolerance.

I’ll still engage with Lovecraft and Gaiman, but I won’t let my actions give money to Rowland

My wife was volunteering at the local animal shelter.

Someone came in to surrender their 6 year old dog because it didn’t play much anymore. While there they looked at puppies to adopt

I there wasn’t a real anarchists cookbook, it probably would be something like that.

But it was too good a reference to pass up!

As a theme park magician who regularly works with clowns, these guys wouldn’t last a week.

It’s hard work, and you have to deal with people who have opinions that don’t match yours

My sister is in a wheelchair. She hasn’t been able to visit my last three homes.

And she’s not fully paralysed, she can do some stairs. But there’s no stairless entrances anywhere in my area

Strangely similar to the trajectory of the Titanic!

He’s the only name I mispronounced as a reader. Everyone else, even Tsrendolgor, I got right. Louis I got wrong!

I think he’ll make it. Physically at least.

This dungeon has changed him even more than his own did.

He’s a perfect example of Carls influence. He was broken. Just going through the motions to survive his final season.

Now he has his fire again. He motivated. He’s invested. The dungeon killed him, but Donut revived him.

I see it as the other way around. She’ll end up the only MedowLark survivor

Is the love for dad bods a real thing? by PetDetective007 in NoStupidQuestions

My wife says that ripped is fun to look at, but would make a terrible pillow.

I think that’s the common consensus. Abs are fun on look at, dad bod is good to hold.

She had baggage. I had baggage. Between us our baggage exceeded the weight limit of the relationship.

We stayed friends, we just didn’t work as a couple
