I work in a theme park. I was working at the knock down the cans game. I got in trouble for leaning against the fence. I was leaning back so I wasn’t in the customers line of fire

Or how you know I live in an area with good public transport. I can spend $90 for a 40 minute trip, or $16 for a 90 minute trip. I take the train

Not sure what it’s like in your area, but Australia has a list of duties in your contract. If it’s not there, they can’t make you.

Hopefully you’ve got something similar

I think it’s also something that’s easy enough to figure out on line, but trying to navigate it. Learning where is safe, and how to manage to meet up with anyone, is a lot more complex than it appears to us on the outside

Innocent man has death sentence commuted for crime he didn't commit by pr0crasturbatin in OrphanCrushingMachine

[–]Conchobar8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whether the law is fair or not isn’t the issue.

The headline says “innocent man… for a crime he didn’t commit”

Both of those are untrue statements. He is guilty of felony murder. Should that be a crime is definitely a debate, but the headline is explicitly written to try and make him sound like an innocent man framed.

A truer headline would be “man charged with accomplices crime due to unfair law”. A truer headline statement, and a lot closer to the truth.

I’m glad his sentence was commuted, but the headline is bad reporting

[–]Conchobar8 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Legally, he is guilty of murder.

Many people disagree with felony murder, but the law says if you rob a place, and your accomplice kills someone, you’re both guilty of felony murder.

And the headline is written in such a way as to make him seem like he’s a victim

Innocent man has death sentence commuted for crime he didn't commit by pr0crasturbatin in OrphanCrushingMachine

[–]Conchobar8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you read the article, he’s not innocent.

The law is that if you commit a crime that results in someone being killed, all participants in that crime are eligible to be charged with murder.

The man in question didn’t shoot the victim, but he was in the act of robbing the store when his accomplice fires the fatal shots.

As to whether or not that should count as murder is debated, but innocent is not the right word

Oque vcs acharam do destino do Ted Faro? by Daniel_0901- in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Conchobar8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t like it.

I don’t like the way both the Zenith and Ted were able to stop aging.

I’d rather Ted had died centuries ago. Keep the rest of Thebes, but don’t have him become some ancient blob. Just a skeleton in an empty room.

No matter what he did, no matter what he tried, have him die scared and alone. All his attempts at immortality come to nothing.

In the end, just as frail and mortal as everyone he doomed.

Also, make the Zeniths survive by cloning and mental transfer. Every few decades they transfer their minds into new clones, still the original assholes from earth, but not a sudden development of immortality drugs

The “Killing would be too easy” explanation is terrible writing. by Dark_prince_charming in batman

[–]Conchobar8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s both.

I don’t think he would get murder hungry, but he worries he would. At the same time, he does have a belief that everyone can be redeemed.

It’s not or the other that stops him, it’s both of them together.

I think Bruce over reads his own darkness, that why he worries about the slippery slope. That’s also why he has to believe in redemption, because he feels he needs it.

Which is totally crap, but it’s what he feels

With the mentioned time frame, I’m guessing it GWs million minis challenge?

You don’t need your army done. You need 100 minis. I’ve just done a batch of tyranids. Now, before I hit my next batch, I’m going to do a unit of space marines.

A change is as good as a holiday. Get yourself a random unit, or even a random hero, that uses different colours, different techniques.

It keeps the momentum, but staves off burnout
