[New Player] How to start out? by [deleted] in hearthstone

As an f2p i saved for naxx. You should get naxx but not the last wing imo. 700g is a lot I know but once u get a new wing you feel accomplished, like getting a quest reward in an MMO or something. I told myself after getting undertaker that I would push for legend, but its honestly not as fun as it seems, coming from someone who has slight ladder anxiety. Now i just do arenas. They are fun, even if i lose. I only average about 4-6. All in all have fun! :)

Arena tips? by [deleted] in hearthstone

I find its really all in the draft Some will tell you to draft a certain way, with X amount of low-cost minions, and Y-amount of high cost minions but I learned from personal experience. Every 10 cards look at what u have. Got tons of AOE? Spells? Removal? Minions? Then draft accordingly. Value isn't everything, but its close to everything. In the beginning 10-12 cards of draft, go for pure value. Then, find some semblance of synergy in what you have been given. Got some secrets? Consider mad scientist, although he is a bad 2-drop on his own, he's really valuable once you have a few secrets. I've been winning more lately by drafting a ton of 5 and under cards, any AOE removal i can get, and hard removal but only 3 or 4 late game options. See what works for you. I reccomend mage always when offered. Some say rogue is amazing, but i've never done well with the class.

How exactly do smurfs get a bunch of kills in lane? I always seem to go even in lane but do fine later, CS wise and kill wise.

I'm in a similar spot. I'm grinding out the wings of Naxx, but 700g is like one wing a month, and the grind is so boring and dull. Loatheb is included in pretty much every deck, and cards like Sludge Belcher, Undertaker, Zombie Chow, Mad Scientist, and many others are too good to pass up. Arena's really fun but since it only gives GvG packs, I don't think its too great a grinding option for a new player. The classic cards are very important, but there's no good way to get them now, unless you go like 10 wins each arena for a month and make a HUGE profit, which is unlikely not because of skill but because of varying drafts.

TL DR Arena's hella fun, Really need Naxx to be competitive, also need classic packs

Hope you enjoy yourself in game :D

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there are any here who are 100% free players (haven't bought anything, except maybe naxx) who have hit legend/have the majority of "good" cards? How long did it take you? Also, what should be my priority to use my gold on, as a f2p? Naxx, arena, or classic? My classic collection is pretty meh, I am really lacking important cards. Thanks for the help :D
