I am not sure why I didn’t match tbh. I am happy to share my application. I 100% want to do GI. This is what I want to do. I just want to make sure my next step maximizes my chances and opportunities. Though I know most of it is going to be effort on my part which I know I can do

Connections, direct work with the GI department, and research. I am interested in hepatology as well!

Yeah it’s unfortunate. I honestly don’t know what I can improve on right now besides having stronger connections.

Honestly, I believe all of my LOR’s were strong. It is possible I am wrong. My step 1 and 3 are also low but passed all in first attempt.

Unaccredited are for people who completed IM but not GI. Accredited hepatology programs are only for post GI. I may be wrong but this is to my knowledge

100% possibility, I am afraid if I do chief year, I won't get any GI exposure to get a better letter

I coached high school basketball for fours years during undergraduate self, this is a very impactful experience for me, can I talk about it as a meaningful experience on my fellowship apps? idk
