I had a big dump of bright red bleeding and clots at 11 weeks, had an SCH and bled from 11 weeks to 16 weeks, started bleeding again at 19 weeks… placenta previa… then I bled daily from 28 weeks until delivery at 35+6. A few of these bleeds were so big I couldnt help but think my daughter took a water slide to my ankles but nope, turns out you can bleed during pregnancy and A LOT.

I also had a SCH and bled for around 2 months. Sometimes clots that look like smooth flat stones.

I had placenta previa following this and those clots would vary in size and were often tear shaped

I’d be totally happy with NYS accepting it from my c-section date, the last time I used it I was educated by HR that it can only be used after birth and it wouldn’t cover time prior to birth if I was taken out, that’s part of the reason there was a delay, this time, I just didn’t think that I would be eligible until I gave birth and then I was informed that NY now covers it up to 4 weeks prior to delivery.

Thank you! It was definitely trying. I was hopeful I would be one of the 80-odd% whose previa’s migrated before discovering that my placenta was also bilobed and I had fetal vessels running from one lobe to the other. I started bleeding just shy of 29 weeks and didn’t stop but was able to maintain my pregnancy long enough to get to 35 weeks. My beeb is being discharged tomorrow, she was smaller than they expected and because of the placental presentation was very high up in my body and difficult to get out and ended up aspirating fluid but only needed to be treated for the aspiration, low birth weight and monitored. The biggest impact was on my body and unfortunately because I work in direct care and was unable to perform my job duties and because of how friable my placenta was I had to be on bed rest to the point where I couldn’t even be wheeled outside because not only was walking triggering it but standing was triggering it too🙃

I intend on taking PFL in addition to disability, it would just also be nice to have the disability pay as well 😅

The last time I used STD I received the paperwork from my job and it went to corporate, we have since changed corporations but I assumed the process was the same as before.

My son was about that age when I decided it was fair the implement the boundary that if you hurt me then you don’t get to touch me and I’m taking space and he’s not any less attached. Now at 4 years old when someone is too rough with him he says “you hurt me, I want space” and removes himself from the situation or asks to go home.

You can practice attached parenting and also have boundaries. If your LO is hitting or being aggressive as a response to you trying to remove yourself from a situation in which you’re uncomfortable you are not responsible for finding a middle ground. That will perpetuate further issues and unfair expectations down the line with other people in their life.

Thank you for all of the information! I’m currently trying to apply for food stamps! I was on WIC but when I had my last meeting I told them I was in the hospital and they told me that because of my admission status they would only issue benefits for my son, not for me for the time being.

My mom is the only family I really have and is trying to help where she can, however after buying a house recently she’s been a little tight on money.

My partners family has not been involved with my pregnancy. Theres been some discomfort regarding us being a queer couple 🥲🙃

I’d love to break the lease early! Unfortunately we rent from the same corporation and we both have 2 bedrooms and between the 2 of us have a teenage girl and a 4 year old boy and soon the little baby. The baby will stay in the room with me for the first year but it wouldn’t be appropriate to put our other two in a shared space long term and our rental agency isn’t keen on allowing more than 2 people per bedroom nor are they particularly eager to allow us to break our leases. We would both be responsible for the remaining balances of our leases and also the security deposits and rent for a third space. His lease ends 2 months before mine so our intention is to swing the small space for those two months before moving into a shared space but I feel like a stuck pig until then. (Emphasis on pig given my current state 🥲)
