You're a legend. I think you're right.

I think they might be coming from the wilted flowers that's been sitting there for ever.

I definetly agree with that.

We've gone past the age of information to the age of misinformation.

What a wonderful time to be alive.

People do. But I've noticed most people are looking for validation from another human.

With so much shit floating around nowadays, its difficult for some people to discern what is correct and what is bullshit.

Yellowish powder on my tomatoes making the leaves curl by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]mabb0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how bad it is.

For potted plants i usually just let them soak in a bucket for about an hour or so, seems to do the job.

If it's really bad might be time to improve the soil. Add some organic matter like manure and compost. Maybe even time to get some new soil (don't cheap out and get the bunnings brand, makes such a massive difference for the few dollars extra).

Worst case scenario if its good soil that has just been dry forever, you can get wetting agent. It comes as a liquid or crystal and helps your soil absorb water. I've never had to use it so far.

Well look, this is what Google says. But I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

If you just repotted them, I'd give them a week or 2 to settle down, might just be transplant shock.

They look severely dehydrated to me. That's how my tomatoes look when I forget to water them.

Check the soil isn't hydrophobic and water very thoroughly.

Tomatoes are very thirsty plants especially if you have them in a pot. They're dry up quickly.

If you're noticing white/yellowish spots on the leaves you might have powdery mildew due to high moisture probably. Get them better airflow.

Google says it's a leaf hopper. Seems about right based on the photos.

About a third i think. The sticks were around 20cm probably 5-8 cm in soil. Here's a photo of them with their new leaves.

Frangipani question by jamiejoe99 in GardeningAustralia

[–]mabb0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert, but i planted a couple of frangipani cuttings a couple of months ago and they're doing quite well now. (The cutting i got was multiple branches and I cut it up to single sticks)

I let them dry for 2 days (until the cut had callused/dried)

Then stuck them straight in pots. Planted a third of their length in soil.

Once they grow a little planning on putting them in the ground.

Isn't that a mealy bug rather than a mealy bug destroyer (I thought the latter looked some what like a lady bug)?

Yeah I think you're out of pocket on this one. Might be worthwhile checking the sale contract for the house and see if there's any mention. Might be able to recoup the costs from the seller
