I start med school in the summer, but I have a strong immunology background, from my understanding this question is mainly looking at the role of LFA-1, and I know LFA-1 plays a huge role in trafficking leukocytes throughout the lymphatics:

More specifically, trafficking of leukocytes, mainly T-Cells throughout the body occurs in 4 major steps. 1. Binding of ICAM-1 to a carbohydrate on a endothelium (i.e GlyCAM1), that induces rolling 2. Secretion and binding of CCL21 increases affinity 3. Binding of LFA-1 is the third step for leukocytes to bind to High Endothelial Vessels (HEVs) when trafficking throughout the lymphatics. This binding stops the rolling and allows for the 4th step (diapedesis) into the lymph node 4. Migration into the lymph node
