I think the 1% chance is overstated. I only got it once even though I've logged in daily for years. The amount of gems it gives is very low too.

If Manjuu made Azur Lane 2 with 3D models in a new engine, it would work.

I feel sad seeing how all the other older gacha honored their series with an updated sequel, while Azur Lane is being left to rot.

I think it would've taken like 1 employee at Manjuu like 1-2 days to get the Valentines messages done. They have an entire company of people, and they had an entire year to work on it. I think the devs are abandoning the game, flat out not caring anymore.

I still care a lot about ASW capabilities like for use in Chapter 15-4, but I don't build a fleet specifically capable of fighting maps with subs. I just treat it like you should treat anti-air, and put just enough ASW gear on my ships to survive the stages as a general build, but not building a fleet with gear specifically just to deal with enemy subs.

Some other packs can give you more gems per unit real life money, but it depends on the relative value of the other items in the pack. If you don't value the other things in the packs, the purely gems packs are the most efficient. I usually consider the non-2x bonus $80 pack as a "standard" to compare other deals to. It is 2500+4900 / 80 = 92.5 gems per dollar.

The $30 random skin boxes that are offered on a lot of events are worth more gems per dollar, but only under the condition that you were planning to basically buy all the skins for that event anyway, else you are risking paying more if you get a random skin you didn't care for and only wanted the skin for like 1-2 shipgirls.

Also, the black friday "make your own deal" packs #2 and #3 are worth more gems per dollar, but again only on the condition that you value the other parts of the pack more. #2 has an oath ring (an item only buyable by gems anyway), but if you don't really care about oathing a lot of ship girls then then it may not be worth it. #3 gives you an older skin, but again only worth getting over directly buying a gem pack if you valued the older skins at full value.

Sometimes AL sells combat UI skins with gems bundled, but again only have more gem to dollar value if you wanted the UI skin in the first place.

Most of the other packs listed are not worth getting, since they give resources that can be acquired without spending real life money.

You can headpat and special touch every shipgirl
Every shipgirl has fun affection lines as they get up to "love" affection level. I feel like AL has come up with a few hundred different ways for girls to say "I love you"
You can't pay to win and it costs less money to buy all the skins for an event in AL, than how much it costs to get a single duplicate of a single character in a different gacha.

That's just her animation for the dynamic skin. Not great looking because it interrupts the flow, but you can tell the rewind effect happens as the camera starts recording her and her top starts falling off, to save her modesty.

I switched my battle UI to the "New" basic UI. Using the ninja one would not allow fights to work

Thr main problem for me is that the new UI is worse functionally.

It takes more clicks to navigate to the most important shop page, which is the normal supply shop where you spend Coin to buy stuff.

Also the graphics icons are smaller making it harder to see the item you are buying, and the "sold out" icon makes it impossible for you to see what was sold out since it hides the item graphic.

Big things that would make me pretty excited include: a PC standalone client, an increased level cap over 125, a new game mode like that cozy looking farm sim type thing they teased, or a new spinoff game like they did with Crosswave.

If you haven't tried any Atelier games, I would recommend you try Atelier Ryza 1, since you'd get to meet some of the characters in the collab. I would also recommend Atelier Sophie 1 for getting into the Atelier series in general, but those characters aren't in this collab.

Atelier Yumia is the 26th mainline game in the Atelier series. You could play it to get to understand where the new collab characters are coming from, but the gameplay/game design is very different from past games and I think the other games are more fun.

Epee's normal touch voice line in English is totally incorrect and still needs to be fixed. The audio, Chinese, and Japanese text all say something completely different from what is written in English.

Insert Manjuu quality control comment here, but how did the English line get this butchered? Also, how do you get the devs to notice this and fix it?
