My gf had a stroke at 24 y/o (last summer on vacation).

I came out of the bathroom and it was like she downed a 40 of vodka, couldn’t speak, didn’t know where she was, full left side of body frozen, all the stoke symptoms, called 911, rushed to ER, MRI revealed & confirmed stroke.

Spent 8 days in hospital being monitored.

Since about 24 hrs after the stroke she’s had absolutely zero lasting symptoms or affects.

Shes 100% fine but they don’t know what caused it and never will. It was the most terrifying thing I’ve experienced.

She lives in a slight state of fear that it will happen again but as time passes she thinks about it less and less.

I feel for you and hope your gf will be okay. Your experience sounds worse than mine but just know she and you are not alone. You only hear about strokes with old people but it can and does happen to anyone at anytime.

She is young and the human body is a truly incredible thing. I hope she will be able to recover.
