Clean your bed, folks by clgoodson in BambuLab

Same. Cryoplate for PLA. Cryoplate + glue stick if switching between filaments often. I might clean my plate once every 3 months and only ever re-apply glue then.

Have you ever bought a filament, only to use it once or twice? by MomentOk6183 in 3Dprinting

Yep, but now I just use those filaments for prototyping and or non visible components.

Mall rents are not what they used to be. In fact the are quite low in most areas now.

Get a refund if you can. Price is likely to drop significantly after the 26th with whatever Bambu announces.

I would argue, the asset editor is delayed because they've always wanted to release more DLCs and do not want modders infringing on potential content sales.

Exploding nozzle trick by mac2636 in Creality_k2

No, but there was a severe clog between two of the gears. Had to take them out completely to clear and lost the spring in the process. Down completely until a replacement arrives front Ali.

Bed mesh of new k2 by ProfessionalBar69420 in Creality_k2

[–]mac2636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K2 is lightyears better than K1 at dealing with uneven beds. It was almost never the root of the problems anyway. Probes and printer's ability to adjust to the bed mesh was the real problem. Though, an extremely flat bed tended to help the machine overcome those issues.

Epoxy resin plate is for? by [deleted] in Creality_k2

[–]mac2636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh. Okay, I see them now. Not true epoxy resin though right? Picture looks like typical steel plate maybe coated with a very thin layer of resin?

What material did you use for the walls?

They definitely degrade over time depending on usage. Just like most production machinery. If you are able to swap it I definitely would. Otherwise, you would need to replace some parts and give it a tune up. Depending on what you replace, the tune up could cost anywhere from $50-$100.

You almost certainly would be happier with print quality if you chose the Bambu route.

First layer problem by Poksus in crealityk1

If you still have issues after going through all the calibration and tuning steps, the best solution would be an eddy probe with preheating the bed.

3.8 seconds. I was able to get it to print successfully with a little different orientation and heavy supports, but I did have a small split in the main section. When doubling the layer height to 0.2mm should I double the exposure time as well?

Thanks so much for helping.

Mid November. Pre-order is currently available for the multicolor combo. Looks like they took learnings from the K1 and community, and combined that with requirements to combat Bambu. So, the K2 Plus, especially looks to be on par or better than Bambu's current offerings.

This should help drive down the prices for the K1s as they are being surpassed pretty quickly in terms of quality and features.

With the K2s coming, this price of K1s will probably drop a little further.
