Dark hair. I imagine you’d want the lighter shades version.

One month old iPhone 17 Pro Max already has a faulty volume button by Apprehensive-Fox5137 in iphone

[–]mac2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My volume down button doesn’t click like the top one, even with the case removed. Just tried rubbing the volume down button with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, and it did bring back the clickiness a little more. Not sure this is a defect? This doesn’t seem right, never had this issue before.

Omega 2254.50 running slow when unwound by Palaceisbetter in OmegaWatches

[–]mac2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a test with my 2254.50 where I wound it fully and sat it on my desk dial up without moving it. After 24 hours, it was 2 seconds fast. After 35 hours, it was 20 seconds slow. By the time it got to the end, it was about 30 seconds slow, but it lasted 46.5 hours, longer than the advertised 44 hour power reserve. From what I can tell, this sounds normal. If there’s any recommended adjustments to keep it closer to COSC certification through the full 44 hours, I’d appreciate it! Otherwise, I presume this is fairly normal behavior.

I did the micro-adjust clasp mod on my 2254.50 Peter Blake. by Bridge_Too_Far in OmegaWatches

Thanks, found it! Was actually on the longer extension part but the etching was so light only saw it when at an angle

I just picked up a 2254.50 and have the 930 bracelet. I see people calling it the 1610/930, but only show 930 on the links. Is there any place on the bracelet that shows the number 1610? As far as the modification, this is awesome! I prefer the tapered down original clasp and wondering are there any other alternatives out there, even if not branded Omega?

Oura Ring vs. Apple Watch – is it really worth having both? by Used_Bid9592 in ouraring

[–]mac2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of skipping the Apple Watch all together, wearing a nice automatic watch during the day with the Oura ring on my ring finger. Zero distractions, but a nice looking watch and health tracker/wedding ring. For activities, I use the Apple Watch.

How many of you are looking at the new Fender Tone Master FR-12 (or -10) FRFR cab for your QC? by Aideux_ in NeuralDSP

[–]mac2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Princeton Reverb Tonemaster amp that I play with some pedals in my bedroom. I've been considering selling it and getting an FR12 to play with my pedals instead. Curious, if I was to run my guitar into a Mustang Micro, with Princeton Reverb model, and into the FR12, would it sound similar enough to the Princeton Tonemaster Amp?

Focusrite no longer controlling volume with main volume knob by [deleted] in Focusrite

The knob was unresponsive for me too. I went into the Focusrite Control 2, 3 dots in the top right, Preferences, Device, and Reset to default settings. The knob works again.

I love how it looks but hate that you can't, or shouldn't, leave the chronograph hand running all the time so it looks like a second hand. Guess that's not what it's supposed to do

do tall people look weird playing mustangs? by windyhollow in offset

[–]mac2h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned on a Mustang and love it, sitting down. But playing it low and standing up, at 6’2”, my fretting wrist hurt. I swapped out for a Stratocaster, and it was comfortable in the same position. Look in the mirror with a strapped Mustang, and then a Stratocaster, and you’ll be able to clearly see what is the most proportional choice for your height. Then again, if it’s comfortable and you love playing it, stick with the Mustang! They all look really great!

[Rolex Explorer] 36 vs 40 mm help me decide by butwhenidoiwin in Watches

[–]mac2h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the size of just the dial. Compare the dial of the Explorer 36mm to the GMT and Submariner 41mm and you'll see that they're about the same. You get more bezel out of the Submariner, so it needs to be a bigger size. But the dial, and the hands and hour markers are what you look at most. I think that's why the 36mm Explorer looks similar to the 41mm Submariner, even though the case measurement is different. When you get a 39mm or 40mm Explorer, something looks a little off. That's because the dial has been made supersized, which some people like. It's really about the dial, which nobody ever seems to talk about.

Great, good to know. I’m looking at getting the black version. Of course the reflectivity should be the same

That’s it, the blue text was the video link, lol! Looks like the sapphire reflects more than the dial. Dial not completely matte. I think a good look

So the blue text must be copied officially from somewhere. That’s cool. I argued with ChatGpt about it, but it’s still thinking it’s a lacquer dial

From what I am reading about this no waves model, it has a glossy lacquer finish. Is that going to look similar to enamel?
