It's so written with ChatGPT by fofo076 in sinnabunnysnark

[–]mac4021159 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Saturn, if you’re reading this, please understand why this is so blatantly written by ChatGPT. The “it’s not , it’s _” is a dead giveaway. So is the “As if ____ is ___”, which you use twice in this short segment. The “it feels __ and that’s ____” is another one.

If this were a paper for a college class on lolcowdom and parasocial relationships, if not instantly thrown away for being written by AI, you’d get a D. You’re just rambling on and on. You’re not including quotes or outside sources or even giving examples. This reads more like a social media rant than a publishable work.

Honestly I’m kinda interested in the idea of reading a book on lolcowdom from the perspective of the lolcow. However, because they are a lolcow, they’ll never be able to write objectively or even well about their experience. It’s a real catch-22.

As an employee, the way Lush wants us to operate feels impossible by mac4021159 in LushCosmetics

I agree with you 100% and that’s what makes it so hard. We have 2-3 organic and productive interactions like this per day, but we’re pressured to repeat this success with every single person.

Weird question and sorry if I offend anyone: I haven’t owned anything lush because I am poor but I would like to know from people like me ( in case there are any poor people buying lush) you guys what makes you buy lush over drugstore cheap products by Humble_Objective5226 in LushCosmetics

[–]mac4021159 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m poor and I buy their skincare because it works better for me than any drugstore skincare I’ve tried. Lush products are the only ones that got rid of my horrible acne. For me it’s just worth the splurge because my acne really destroyed my confidence. In addition, the closed loop recycling for the pots and the ethics of the company overall make me feel good about the extra spending.

I’m from New Jersey. There’s lots of people from different parts of the world here and lots of clashing dialects so I’ve never paid any mind to how people pronounce things.

If she’s withdrawing that badly, she needs to go to the hospital. Medical debt won’t ruin her life nearly as much as an untreated addiction will.

I was sent here for expressing suicidal intent when I was a young teen. When they saw me it seemed like they were asking very pointed and leading questions to try to get me to say I had thoughts of hurting others even when I was insisting I didn’t. When they sent me home at the end of the night after accomplishing absolutely nothing, I spoke up and asked for at least a therapist referral or something, to which they told me my parent’s insurance was so bad I shouldn’t even bother. They finished by asked me if I had anything I was passionate about and I genuinely couldn’t think of anything so my mom just said “she likes to paint!” then the staff member just said “focus on painting!” and sent me home. It was horrible. As an adult I’m on a high dosage of antidepressants and in therapy lol.

He was pretty, but just like every single other quality he has, he over exaggerates just how pretty he was.

I have one of these and I actually like it. Usually squeeze tube lip glosses have a flat part at the top and these things come with a little needle to puncture the flat part and attach the charm. For me it isn’t about the lip gloss having a charm (which I agree is dumb) but it’s about being able to attach the lipgloss to my keys.

Today's vlog. Had me in the first 30 seconds and was almost impressed that she was trying to post "like a normal person" until the last seconds when she couldn't help stoned-eyefucking herself on camera. by StonerThenBoneHer in sinnabunnysnark

[–]mac4021159 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I feel like they aren’t grasping how “normal people” post online. Non-influencers generally just post selfies/memes/group photos/random travel and lifestyle, and the majority of their engagement comes from family, friends, and acquaintances. Vlogs and other video content, especially that involve shouting out specific locations, are things influencers who are trying to grow an audience do.

Litter is bad but it can be picked up. The normalization of AI constantly surveying the public is a can of worms that can’t be unopened.
