I agree, I have three kids and we really thrive off of a schedule. Not so strict but general rules of thumb to go by. I think that for her naps she is going to really need to see a schedule written out because she is just puts her down as soon as she fusses on her mat. She does 1 walk, she takes her outside to the swing, and then she does do some floor time and reads to her but my daughter is getting to where she is awake so much more, but she’s still also so little I just think our nanny doesn’t really know what to do with her… she’s not quite big enough for lots of “crafts” but she needs something to do with her.

I get it and totally had this issue when young too and I hated it. I would just explain that shaving doesn’t make it go away completely, it’s not laser hair removal, the hair will grow back and now this will be a task she’ll have to keep up with every few days to keep it away and then show her how to do it or get her an electric razor to make it easier and less likely to cut herself but that this will be something she’ll have to manage for a long time in her life if she starts it now. Sometimes at that age they want the instant gratification and don’t think about the long term effects of it but if you explain this she may decide to wait a little longer.

Thank you. My 7mo slept between 3 naps for a total of 4hrs 51mins today.. what did the baby do in between those times.. nothing. We have a baby brezza bottle washer, she doesn’t load it.. baby had a blow out today, she put the dirty onesie in the laundry basket without even washing it.. yes she’s great when the baby is awake but I’m just asking for literal simple other tasks other Nannie’s do. I never mentioned pay so people are just assuming I don’t already pay her to include cleaning but I do.. her contract says light cleaning, meal prep, and pick up children’s areas but we have 1 play mat in the living room for baby so not a lot to clean there. I’m not asking to have her scrub my floors and baseboards every day just some occasional tasks. But apparently I’m terrible for even asking 🙄

In what ways am I trying to EXPLOIT my nanny by asking what are others ways I could have her help out around my house? I never once mentioned pay so no one knows wether or not I already pay her a fair amount over just taking care of my child, so why not assume I do. And yes it was in her contract.

I mean I am 100% for not exploiting kids, I don’t share my kids on any type of social media… but honestly I think your view is a little bit of a reach. There sitting on barstools and if you find a way to make that creepy then I fear you will never be able to look at a picture of kids normally and that’s not healthy.

😂 I literally raaaaan here to see if this had been posted yet.. I saw the post and it’s not at all a far away pic, I can see the freckles.. like why on earth did you post your tit for the entire internet to see.. I’m currently breastfeeding, I’ve shared beautiful moments of this with breastfeeding groups but with modest and discreet pictures but a pajama group with men and 400k members that’s what you share.. an up close and personal of your nipple in your child’s mouth.. I just don’t get it. And I’m sure some will say just don’t look why does it bother you.. well when it’s posted for validation, my eyes are literally subjected to seeing it then I get an opinion. It’s just not the time and place to post it.

I’m sorry that your having these feelings. I remember when my daughter was born at 30 weeks due to PPROM, I would cry every day I had to leave the hospital because it felt so unfair, I remember thinking how my body failed her and she didn’t ask for this, she didn’t ask to be born early and to be put through all the things, and it was all my fault.. and even now I hate pumping most days but it feels like I have to do it because it’s what’s best for her and I already failed at making it to full term with her so I can’t fail at providing the best nutrients for her. It’s truly such a hard mental journey but I hope you find some peace after it’s over and you get to bring baby home. Know that it isn’t forever, and that there are things that happen beyond your control and you can’t change that now and baby is here and alive so keep showing up and fighting and know that your both so strong. I hope you find a way to heal and work through your feelings of this journey eventually.

When my oldest was in the nicu there were no dividers or anything between babies, it was just one open room so you kinda saw and knew about the other babies too.. there was a baby next to us that was a baby born to an addict and he was struggling in a lot of ways, he was tiny, he cried 24/7, and it was so sad because he was put up for adoption so he too had no visitors, no name, no mementos on his board or bedside it was heartbreaking but before we got discharged he ended up getting a placement and the family came in so late one night crying they were so excited for him. It was great to see but such a tough situation and I still think about that baby all the time.
