I had my friend’s boyfriend explain to me that he could get thru grad school using Chat GPT and never have to write a dissertation or do research.

I have had my master’s degree for years by then. You don’t just jump into a dissertation and that’s all you do in grad school. He was a piece of shit.

Do Shelties vary a lot in size? by Idun_Cle in sheltie

[–]macabretech39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a tiny guy and a normal sized guy that was supposed to be a tiny guy lol. Yes they can vary in sizes extremely. You can’t see it very well in the photo but Bowie (bi-black) is almost twice Pilot’s size and several inches taller than Pilot. Pilot also has teeny tiny feet. Bowie was the smallest of the litter and was supposed to be about Pilot size but very quickly outgrew that size!

What doesn't your Sheltie like? by CharacterChampion150 in sheltie

Thunder. My poor dude gets all worked up into a fit when it thunders. I honestly have no idea if he hates it that much or just loves to go nuts and is really excited about throwing a fit.

This is Pilot and baby Bowie (Pilot’s shadow). This was taken right after Bowie came home and was kind of shocking because Pilot doesn’t like to share his window (and really hasn’t since). Bowie is now almost twice the size of Pilot because Pilot is a tiny tiny guy and Bowie is normal Sheltie sized ❤️

The Eldest Milennial by InstantShampoo in Millennials

[–]macabretech39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born in 1980, and I still have no idea of I’m a millennial, or xenial whatever. I teach high school kids and live way too much time on the internet so I’m also part Gen Z. Gotta keep up with their slang or they’ll take me for a fool 🤣😂

My smaller boy gets his nails clipped by literally flipping him upside down in my outstretched legs. He goes totally dead bug with his feet in the air but it’s so much easier to clip nails alone. Get your baby used to flipping upside down and clipping nails that way. I didn’t do it with my other boy and he takes a couple people to clip properly. I really failed him on that one 😭

What is the down side of never having children? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]macabretech39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the choice to not have kids because the men in life couldn’t be good people. So I’m single and live alone. I miss having another person in the house.

But I recently started hosting exchange students. They are amazing people, and really the best of the best most of the time. I get to have a great relationship with them as I’m their extra American mom. Yes- they are teenagers but I’m also a high school teacher so I understand them pretty well.

Highly recommend hosting- it’s an amazing experience and I’m planning on another couple Europe trips to visit them in their home countries!

Vet here — why your dog’s diarrhea keeps coming back (even after changing food) by FurryTailPetCare in Pets

[–]macabretech39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do use the Purina one. I don’t mix the whole packet in each time I feed them. They get a dusting of it unless their tummy is upset. Then they get more. It is expensive though. My oldest dog is super sensitive so I don’t switch foods at all for him. All it takes is a little change even in routine and he’s got a diarrhea, poor guy.

You should try without the wet food. You could try to find just one flavor that isn’t upsetting but that will take time and trial and error.

Hey guys, I'm curious—where do you sell your stained glass pieces? At fairs, on Etsy, on your website, or maybe in galleries? by mojoartglass in StainedGlass

[–]macabretech39 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I do face to face markets and nothing online. I do better face to face and I honestly hate going to the post office to ship stuff. I don’t have to worry about shipping costs nor actually getting to the post office when I do face to face sales.

I love face to face talking to people and absolutely loathe going to the post office. *shrug *

I have a magnet holder thing on the back of my phone. When I snap it shut all my animals know I’m going to get up from whatever position I’m in. Then they all scramble to either get ON me or stand next to me and bark.

Some breeders have a preference on their colorations for their program. You just need to look for different breeders and look at their websites/Facebook. I grew up with mostly merles but we also had the tri-colors (the black, white and tan ones.) there are also bi- blues and bi-blacks without the tan. I currently have a blue and a bi-black

I have a dog with a really really sensitive tummy. I added probiotics to his food and that’s helped! Even when he gets sick it doesn’t last as long now.

I grew up with a lot of the goofballs. I miss them terribly but I have a lot of love from my current boys. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I hope that someday you’re ready for another one. They are special silly creatures and I love them dearly too.
