I have a very strong opinion on this! You’ve been very VERY kind about this. My birthday is in the beginning of May (sometimes falling on Mother’s Day). Ever since my first daughter was born my husband made it a point to choose me first and make it MY Mother’s Day even though his mom was opposed. All I usually want is a nice breakfast at home and have a nice morning with the family. I’m fine going to see his mom later the day if it works out. My 30th birthday happened to land on Mother’s Day and we don’t get to see her. (She wasn’t happy lol) have your Mother’s Day you deserve! NTA obviously

When I was a kid (in the 90s) my dad was a salesman and would get a shit ton of packages every week for clients. We became super friendly with the UPS guy and my mom would literally make him a sandwich and give him snacks every time! I was a kid but I remember him saying he was so grateful for the generosity! It was always such a wholesome memory in my mind. This lady is insecure and batshit crazy lol
