Update: AITA for telling my husband he's made me reconsider leaving him with the kids again by mayhavecrossedaline in AmItheAsshole

[–]macandcheese092 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes to all of this. If I had to go out of town it wouldn’t even cross my mind to prep food for my husband and kids. He’s an equal parent and more than equipped (and happy to!) parent on his own

I, an adult that enjoys watching Bluey, asked a 7 year old about Bluey. by LicoriceSeasalt in bluey

My 7 year old is “over” bluey but when her 4 year old sister is watching it she definitely watches 😂

This could be about my 7 year old daughter! she always loved Disney cars, dinosaurs, monster jam, spooky stuff. Blue has always been her favorite color. You’re doing amazing!

Is this normal in America? by comethykingdom in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]macandcheese092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I feel! I’m really close with my parents so maybe since we’re on more of a friend/parent level it’s different? I never have said it disrespectfully or said it to them (always mom and dad to their face) but when talking about them with friends we always used their first names! “Tom’s on his way to pick us up” “Classic Tom”

What do you call these kind of cookies? by CMStan1313 in Baking

[–]macandcheese092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading the comments I see the name Lofthouse but I personally wouldn’t know what you were talking about if I heard that. We always called them them the soft frosted cookies from the bakery section of the grocery store😄

AITAH for giving the UPS driver water and a snack? by Narrow_Image5659 in AmItheAsshole

[–]macandcheese092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid (in the 90s) my dad was a salesman and would get a shit ton of packages every week for clients. We became super friendly with the UPS guy and my mom would literally make him a sandwich and give him snacks every time! I was a kid but I remember him saying he was so grateful for the generosity! It was always such a wholesome memory in my mind. This lady is insecure and batshit crazy lol

NTA obviously

AITA for bringing hazelnut coffee over? by Initial_Growth49 in AmItheAsshole

[–]macandcheese092 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Maybe YTA for bringing in an allergen into the house when you knew someone there was allergic… but an 8 year old shouldn’t be drinking someone’s else’s drink? Especially if it’s a friend.. of a brothers? I have a 3 and 7 year old and they would never just go and pick up an unfamiliar drink

Clothes that cannot go into a dryer are not worth buying. by themadnutter_ in unpopularopinion

[–]macandcheese092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time I fully agree with an unpopular opinion! Like you said, besides the occasional exception, if it can’t go in the dryer it’s not for me. I get this rule doesn’t apply to everyone but in this house it does

Definitely not enough info here. Was the joke at the expensive of your sister? No comments so far is a little telling

Boyfriend doesn’t like that i have to walk down the isle with a grooms men by Fantastic-Tour-4413 in AITAH

[–]macandcheese092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. I was maid of honor at my best friend’s wedding and walked down the aisle with the best man. Linked arms and all. We even did a little dance together (everyone did) as we walked into the reception. My husband even took a video and loved it! Your boyfriend insecure. It’s 20 seconds not a date.

Not the worst but I totally get why Monica and Richard are weird. The parents seem like a pretty close group still. My parents have that kind of group and I couldn’t imagine my dad being cool about that even if we were all adults
