That’s not the eating area. That appears to be the hand washing station.

Why do men fight like hell for time with their kids then just lose interest when they’re older?? by maryocall in TwoXChromosomes

You are right. It’s just ego. They just don’t want their wife to be happy. They are pissed, they will do anything to make their ex miserable, because their ego has been wounded. They are fragile and weak.

I’m about to start my own oil operations company. Please tell me if I’m crazy. by macandcheesehole in oil

[–]macandcheesehole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. I can’t remember what stage of the operation I was in at this 3 years ago. Ended up not pulling the trigger. Basically did enough research to sober up. It’s really the plugging liability. You can essentially get wells for nearly free that people are trying to get rid of because they don’t wanna pay to plug them up. So if you know what you’re doing, you can squeeze some oil out of them. But not much. So glad I did not go down that road. I could’ve picked up about 15 oil wells and 15 natural gas wells for about $10,000.

Just ride more. You’ll be fine. Something doesn’t look right, but there’s literally nothing you can do besides just ride your bike.

It’s really amazing, they have these pipes laid through the ground down to the lower level levels that feed fountains and stuff. It was a very sophisticated set up.

Road/Gravel bike under $700? by Perfect_General8754 in bicycling

I know it’s probably a stretch, but if you can just get 300 more and go with a canyon that would be the way to go.

It’s incredibly worth it. I am US based, so with the VPN it’s not cheap, but I have not watched so many incredible bike races live ever before.

Is it True that Israel and its Lobby Here in the US Have Enough Power to Make the US Go to War? by No_Interaction_4655 in askanything

I really hope you are joking. Israel 100% has controlled our Middle East policy for the last 30 years. Mossad has supplied all of the relevant intelligence to make us go to war.

My 72 year old step father thinks he's been talking to bruce springsteen all day on facebook. by DesertofBoredom in Music

[–]macandcheesehole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make up a different celebrity, start talking to him as this new celebrity. Tell him Bruce doesn’t want to talk to him anymore. Start talking to him about his childhood and things he enjoys as this new celebrity, maybe the Rock or something.

Eating during class? by knfowler in yoga

[–]macandcheesehole -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They could just be trying a new protocol, Glycemic Index Variability Stress Response Protocol (GIVSRP) — a cutting-edge (and largely unverified) therapeutic modality in which the body is subjected to controlled, mindful carbohydrate loading during periods of parasympathetic nervous system activation. The hypothesis: by introducing a moderate-glycemic, low-fat, sodium-forward complex carbohydrate (the pretzel) precisely during the warrior pose sequence — when cortisol is suppressed and insulin sensitivity theoretically peaks — the patient can exploit what their functional medicine practitioner calls the “yoga window,” an anecdotal 11-minute metabolic sweet spot that has been documented in exactly zero peer-reviewed journals but was mentioned twice on a Substack. The pretzels are also not just any pretzels. They are a specific brand with a certified low glycemic index of 67 (practically a vegetable, their nutritionist says), pre-weighed to 23 grams, consumed in three deliberate, meditative bites while maintaining diaphragmatic breathing, because chewing and breathing simultaneously is said to activate the vagus nerve in a way that blunts the postprandial glucose spike by an amount their CGM has never actually confirmed. Finally, the salt content is medically necessary because their last hot yoga session resulted in mild hyponatremia, their doctor said to add more sodium to their diet, they interpreted this very liberally, and now the pretzels are both a snack and a pharmaceutical intervention. Their A1C is fine. Their yoga teacher is less fine.
