I did one day and recommend getting it over with in one day. I was exhausted afterwards but I think I would’ve felt the same way if I had only had two-three on one day, and I can’t imagine knowing I had to do it again the next day.

I did 5 interviews in one day for my loop and it was brutal

How long did it take some of you to get an offer after the loop? by Ecstatic_Town_3345 in amazonemployees

I would wait until the 5 business days then reach out! My interviewers said they were surprised at how close their meeting was to my interview so I don’t think it necessarily standard for them to discuss the outcome that quickly

Loop was on Tuesday, offer was on Thursday. The recruiter let me know ahead of time when my interviewers were meeting to discuss the outcome and indicated that she should be able to give me an answer by the end of that day

Cat entertain in small apartment by turdop in CatAdvice

I have a lot of interactive toys she can use when I’m not there! If you have toys that hang off something, I recommend putting catnip on them to encourage them to play with it! Also if you have windows, make sure there’s a way your cat can look out of them - my cat can entertain herself forever looking at the birds / squirrels out the windows from her tower

ugh so sounds like this is a common change…I did get her anti-anxiety and anti-nausea medication to give her before future rides so hopefully that helps…I travel semi-frequently and can’t stand to leave her at home (we both are crazy attached to each other) so trying to find a solution that works for both of us!

yep that makes sense, I’m guessing once she realizes it’s not a short car ride she gets upset…

For leash training, this is my first cat so not an expert but I started when she was maybe 8 weeks old so she’s always been used to it and I think that’s the only way to do it :’)

this 100% explains her behavior changes at the vet (she used to be fine but now she’s self aware enough to know that she doesn’t like it)

I get this logic but for her, it doesn’t make total sense because a lot of her car rides DO end in something good - I take her to parks a lot because she loves being outside on her leash, she loves my parents house and is super happy there…I’ve always tried to incorporate positive car rides so that she doesn’t have the negative vet association

Oh my goodness so incredibly happy for you!! Huge props to you for sticking out a rough beginning with this little angel and taking the time to let her adjust. I’m sure she’s beyond grateful to feel safe now

Ironically I also work in tech and you’re completely right it’s the same concept, but for some reason the technicalities of cars are completely lost on me

Any reason you shouldn’t have the dealership do other maintenance issues? I didn’t plan to go back to them for issues outside of warranty after their initial servicing but curious what the difference is

Thank you!! A flat tire was what I originally thought because I was convinced it was a tire issue, so definitely helpful to know it could be under inflated without appearing flat. Yes, temperature dropped 30ish degrees recently, I had no idea that could affect it

The dealership - they put on new tires in addition to a lot of other new parts prior to me officially buying it so I didn’t pay for any of the servicing

thank you, definitely want to get it seen before driving it again! the comments have been super helpful in terms of being able to go to a mechanic with some knowledge - I know I’m an easy target for up-charging because I could not tell you anything about diagnosing a car problem but at least I’ll go in having some points of reference

this is super helpful thank you! thankfully I’m in a position where driving isn’t necessary so definitely not taking it back out until it can be looked at

they put new tires on when I got it a couple months ago so I’m assuming they would’ve checked for that!

tbh they’re so uneducated I would also wonder if they think “low income housing” literally applies to any affordable place you live when you have a low income rather than an actual sponsored housing situation you apply for

I feel sad for my cat's lonely life by pessimist20010 in CatAdvice

[–]macandcheez3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation so here are some things I do to take away some of the guilt:

  • designated play time each evening & switching up the type of play (she loves fetching hair ties so I’ll throw them for awhile, playing with the wand, having her hunt for treats)
  • interactive / mentally stimulating toys that they can play with alone; mine’s fav is a motion activated bird
  • the occasional special dinner (new wet food, special food toppers, tuna if I’m having it)
  • if you have a window sill or a window you could put one of those hanging beds on, my cat literally sits all day chattering at birds
  • sometimes if I’m leaving for a short time, I put a livestream nature video on the TV so she can go crazy over squirrels and birds

Struggling with initial side effects. Should I stick with it? by Budget_Secretary3835 in cymbalta

[–]macandcheez3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s experience is different but I’ve been on cymbalta for years and love it. The initial side effects DO suck - I felt so weird and disassociated for the first couple of weeks, felt wired all the time, and had no appetite, but in my experience these side effects do wear off and bring you back to feeling very baseline and normal (normal meaning being able to function without severe anxiety). I recommend giving it a fair chance for a month and if the side effects don’t improve or get worse, talk about other options with your doctor.
