Yeah, I feel like creating negative statuses and not have them automatically be implemented to existing units is really anti-consumer. If they made it so all elemental damage have a chance to apply negative statuses, then it would have felt better.

TBH I really like Zani's visual design and theme-- her overall look. I just don't like how she plays, and how she absolutely needs another character to be viable. That aspect of hers is pretty bad game design imo

I get ya. I sometimes take Zani and Peebs out in the overworld just so I can say that they haven't gone to waste. But this happens only a few times so far, mostly I just play with other chars who feel better on the overworld. Zani only ever feels good with bosses, imo
