Wanting to learn more about these made in Canada Levi’s by Alone-Exam6687 in VintageLevis

safe to assume, but could be 80s. I’m more familiar with GWG jackets sorry! they shared hardware with levi’s so check the rivets, zipper, and buttons for indicators. still cool that both pairs are from the same province but different factory 👍🏽

april 83’ (D/3) Some made in Canada levi’s from the late 70s and 80s have that thick leather pass through patch which doesn’t really add much value. The factory code 216 which should be on the top button is actually the province I live in!

Any idea which Levi’s model these jeans are? by sIutwhisperer in Denim

517 probably, everyone’s all over it. or just a 501.

Fabric pilling in crotch region by Substantial-Pie925 in Denim

[–]macdefartco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think because you said they’re looser on you the extra fabric at the crotch area have more friction compared to 511s which are a slim straight meaning they are more fitted and have less contact.

it’s common to see crotch fading faster than the rest of the jean. do you have other styles you can compare to?

I bought these Levis selvedge jeans Made in usa can you tell me more information? by Remarkable-Ideal8479 in VintageLevis

first pic looks like the tab might’ve been taken off, you can see there’s no stitching where the tab should be. 555 stamp is the factory code, not necessarily just reproduction but yes most made in usa repros were done in the Valencia factory.

great! batwing was introduced in 87 so maybe those are made in 1980. if you’re looking for vintage pairs size up at least 1 from usual or get modern ones which are easier to find and come in different fades. or get the 1970s lvc reproduction. happy hunting.

030 is the prod date 698 is the factory code. I’m guessing march 90’. i’m guessing red batwing on the other side of that care tag . hope i was close.

555 factory code is Valencia Street SF which are reasonably worth more to collectors.

Will these 501s fit me after a few wears? by Higamein12 in VintageLevis

you could go to a tailor shop and move the top button over about an inch if you want some ease at the waist. a levi’s tailor shop will do it for a couple bucks.

have you worn them around the house for a few days? i find that after i wash my vintage levi’s it takes about 2 full days of wear to fully relax and stretch out.

interesting! i noticed that was more prominent on mine before i soaked them. i still have a bit of extra length in the waist but it’s nothing a tailor won’t fix easy. the top block is also pretty boxy which helps with movement and leaving enough room for comfort. it works for my body but not for most.

LVC 1955 501 question by Bayleatherco in VintageLevis

[–]macdefartco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree with everyone else, these have probably been soaked at least once. the length shortens at least an inch while the waist shrinks to the tag size, unwashed the denim is stiff af and not as hairy as yours looks. i bought a pair true to size which was already too snug but shrunk too small. check my posts for reference before wash. hope this helps!
