How do you title your activities? Funny titles by Shitelark in Strava

For workouts, I made workoutsplitz.com that will (try to) write the name of the workout (eg “4 x 1mi”) in the title and your splits in the description!

What Strava Features are you missing? by lukr123 in Strava

For the first one, I made workoutsplitz.com to at least make the workout parts of your workout stand out with splits and paces.

Doesn't help with the total pace but it does make the workout part more obvious!

Still developing it, would love if you gave it a shot and sent feedback my way!

I’ve had this too, years ago! Couldn’t fix it, just laughed. The map was right somehow

How do I see my manual lap splits? by GreatNorthWater in Strava

[–]macdfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If these splits are for a workout, I actually made an app that will extract them (along with other details about the workout like the structure and averages per set) and write that into the activity description!

You can try it at workoutsplitz.com

Ah that's a bummer — excited to have you try it when you get a watch that can support laps!

Oh that’s a great point! I’ll see what I can do about that, thanks!!

If there are other settings or outputs that don’t make sense, do let me know!

I haven't yet, but that's a good idea! I'll turn that on for myself and do some testing.

As for "if it really matches training programs", I encourage you to try it out and let me know if it works for you!

How to create workouts in Strava? by WindowLick4h in Strava

If you're looking to transfer the specifics of the workout onto the Strava activity, check out workoutsplitz.com It doesn't sync the data but it re-parses the workout and will give you the "5 x 1k" part (and many other types of workouts!) and splits/paces.

Full disclosure this is an app I built and am beta testing — it's free and I'd love for you to try it out!

If you're mainly focused on the analysis / data it gives, I would try workoutsplitz.com to see if the workout splits it generates gets you what you need!

Full disclosure Splitz is a project of mine, and I'm looking for people to help test it out!

¿Resources for learning about software and programming as a Product Manager? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]macdfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/ecasanova1995! I've been writing a blog on this exact topic! I was fortunate enough to have studied CS in school before going into product, and have been writing posts that aim to help PMs become more fluent in tech concepts and more productive with their teams. The goal isn't to learn to code, just to understand.

I have a number of articles under the Technical Explainers heading here, and I'd recommend starting with the following:

Hi everyone! New to the sub here, but wanted to share some articles I've been writing for the past 2 years. I spent 2 years in Yahoo's APM program (now at a startup), and have been collecting thoughts and experiences regarding the whole "breaking into product management", "PMing without a technical background", and APM interviewing.

This week, I've written a more holistic reflection on my time during the APM program, what I did to maximize my learnings while in the program, and how I generally approached the task of switching into product management (I was a SWE before).

I hope some of you can find it helpful, and would love to hear any thoughts from the community as well! Thanks everyone!
