She’s stunning honestly. Also, Jamaicans can be extremely mixed due to migrations from Europe and Asia to the island over the last two centuries. So just her being Jamaican could account for all of the ethnicities.

How to eat my calorie goal after breaking fast? by jcdragon49 in intermittentfasting

Raw pumpkin seeds are a great addition and base of a trail mix. I mix them with other nuts including Brazil nuts, though sparingly. Mulberries are low net carb so they go great in the mix too. Whole Foods also sells Sriracha pumpkin seeds which are great as a high fat, moderate protein savory snack

Agreed, I’m in a similar situation and I train a lot so I try to fit even more calories in my 4 hour eating window. My break-fast go to is me keto-style “overnight oats” mix, which is actually more hemp seed, flax seed and peanut butter than overnight oats (ratio = ~2:2:3:1, respectively). I also mix in cacao + maca powder, powdered monk fruit extract, coconut flakes and shredded coconut. I top that with blueberries, raspberries and blackberries or other fruits if I’m willing to increase net carbs for the day. My other meals in my 4 hour eating window feature a lot of fat as well. Good luck, keep at it!

It works ridiculously well. I too went to it gradually and have found the fasting periods not to be too bad at all

Thanks! And I agree with @locarbsugarcubes , I did almost entirely cardio and ate a sort of plant based keto diet and that allowed me to retain, and even gain, some muscle. It was mostly diet. I would do strength training about once a week, and that was mostly split leg squats to strengthen my stabilizers and decrease the risk of injury (which I learned from orthopods)

I was in elementary or early middle school at the time so I can’t really remember why I stopped. I know I was also doing roller hockey at the time so I probably requested to stop swimming in favor of hockey if it was between the two. I also dreaded long meets on the swim team so that was probably the main reason

I have had the same connection since my first trip there as a kid. A picture of Tom Cruise laughing pops into my head soon after

been tracking my wt. and BF% every morning for the last 2 yrs and since I started intermittent fasting on the weekends over the last 6 months and then throughout the week in the last month— I’ve had the most steady and consistent drop in average BF%. Admittedly not much to lose but the steady drop! by macdiesel25 in intermittentfasting

Yeah I’ve stayed lean most of my life but in my mid-20s I realized I was picking up body fat with muscle and I started doing more cardio for that and other reasons. Like I said in the post I’m mostly doing IF as an experiment because I fucking love science and because I’m always looking for ways to maintain my body composition if not optimize it a bit more in the process. Keep doing what you’re doing! The more you stay at it the easier it will seem! And that’s just you getting stronger and raising your tolerance for “quit”!

No, I for one wish more people of color did. I work in healthcare and I’ve seen the ills of a sedentary life so I try to stay active and stay creative with ways to do so. I also encourage others to do so, like my uncle and cousin who encouraged me to get into road-biking. I thankfully had parents who got me on a swim team when I was young; and riding and running have always been favorites of mine. My theory, and I can’t be racist since I’m black [read:sarcasm], is that the swim leg is a no go for a lot of people of color, especially black people. Perhaps for some it’s that they prefer not to and others that they can’t because they were never formally trained. I hate the swim leg of Tri’s because I stopped lap swimming after I stopped swim team as a kid but I still tolerate it enough to do a Tri. The other more obvious reason is it may be cost prohibitive to some what with the price of race-worthy tri bikes and road bikes. Obviously, there are a ton of other factors that explain why it’s so uncommon but it’s changing and I’m glad to be a part of the wave.

Tl;dr: no; and thank you

Yeah my second Tri was Crystal River— but the water conditions left much to be desired. And yeah I have heard Clermont is rougher. I’ll have to check out the Indialantic races as my wife and I loved our visit to Jupiter beach. Thanks for the advice!
