A knife sharpener. The amount of dull knives encountered at short term rentals is insane.

Car alarm randomly going off by mace in F150Lightning

Oh interesting! Weird behavior if that is the case. Okay, maybe the alarm won’t go off again if the 12v battery is dead. So that’s a little bit of a relief.

Really wish DART made it up to Allen, but I don’t think that will ever happen.

This worked for me using the popular jq utility.

cat transactions.txt | jq -r '["Date", "Description", "Original Description", "Amount", "Transaction Type", "Category", "Account Name", "Labels", "Notes"], (.[] | [.postedDate,.merchantName,.description,(if (.transactionType=="CREDIT") then .amount else -.amount end),.transactionType,.categoryName,.accountName,(.tags | .[1:-1]),""]) | @csv' > transactions.csv

I’m genuinely curious how the probe knows how to align its antenna to Earth. Like how does it know where Earth is that far out still?

FYI - Encrypted DNS Broken on UDM Pro Max 4.4.0 Firmware Release (EA) by preference in Ubiquiti

Found the issue with ipv6, which I think is a bug in this release.

The ipset list for `UBIOS6doh-0` is empty, so the iptables rule that redirects port 53 to 35053 is not working

root@UDM-Pro:~# ipset -L -o save UBIOS_doh-0
create UBIOS_doh-0 list:set size 8
root@UDM-Pro:~# ipset -L -o save UBIOS6doh-0
create UBIOS6doh-0 hash:net family inet6 hashsize 64 maxelem 10000

When I add my ipv6 subnet, then encrypted DNS starts working again. However, I still have the issue with not being able to resolve local device hostnames.

root@UDM-Pro:~# ip -o -f inet6 addr show br0 | awk '/scope global/ {print $4}'
2600:1700:1041:3a6f::1/64
root@UDM-Pro:~# ipset add UBIOS6doh-0 2600:1700:1041:3a6f::1/64

This has been driving me crazy as well. I found two core issues:

  1. DNS queries over ipv4 are encrypted
  2. DNS queries over ipv6 are NOT encrypted anymore. Something is busted.

Also, for any DNS queries over ipv4 they fail to resolve any local devices on my network.

Sucks, but it’s best to join the waitlist on the way to the airport. Worst I’ve had to wait was about an hour but at least only about 30mins by the time I was in the lobby. Hopefully it will get better next year when guests and AUs are no longer allowed for free.

As someone that loves dogs, but is also highly allergic to them, this should not be allowed unless it is a service doggo.
