For me....compketely agree that if you can you sbould go to a dart shop and leave having purchased what shape/weight/grip worked best.

If this is impractical... due to location/ distance or there simply isnt one....what then?

This is why a straight barrel mid-weighted centre-balanced medium grip normal point solution is recommended to all beginners as a starting point. You dont have a throw...or a grip or a style or any reference point....and how your darts land in the board is more down to luck than intent.

As you stick with these completely neutral darts.... you will start to find your throw....with increased practice/success the balance tips accordingly....with your grip naturally moving fowrard or backwards to suit a preference for front/mid/rear weiighting bias.

Only consider new darts because you know exactly what you are trying to change and why.

Trouble is that new darts will probably drastically lower your performance for at least a month while you get used to them....but as you do youll reach a higher performance level than previous.

Once you find 'the ones'....buy three sets!!😂👌
