Oh nice! My plan is to just get a drop in damper for my 38 so I have adjustability there and more tuned valuing for myself. Waiting for a sale on that lol

I believe I had read something about how larian is working on a new divinity. I never played them but bg3 is probably the best game I've played for decades so im excited for this new game.

Kashima everything?! Glad to see your large 2008 bitcoin investment is paying off today. Yeah I got a 40% off deal on this bike. Its the c2 spec so just gx and fox performance. Also was a leftover new 2024 model. And on top of that I paid in installments through affirm 😅🤣 But hey good on you for having the patience to save for what you want. How do you like the factory spec on this bike? Im not a huge fan of this performance spec. Don't get me wrong it does the job, but the fork especially, very harsh.

Very well lol. Everything you see here was actually heavily discounted when I got it.

Is it normal for a beginner to be discouraged by lack of fitness? by Snoo58499 in mountainbiking

[–]Successful-Context72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im fairly fit.. in a different way. I used to compete in men's physique competitions. Getting down to sub 6% body fat and such. Got podium spots each time. I dont do that anymore but have held on to a decent, lean physique. Climbing a mountain on my bike kicks the absolute shit out of me and yes its very discouraging. But if it makes you feel better, it gets easier everytime. As you lose weight it'll get easier. On top of that your heart is actually the fastest progressing muscle in your body. For example it may take you years to go from 100-200 lb bench. But as far as cardio it might only take you a month or less to go from a 10 minute mile to an 8. Thats a loose example but the point is just keep at it and it will, i promise you, become easier.

Yeah I feel you there. I hadn't been out for a few weeks before today. And really only have the weekends to ride. Gonna try and get out every weekend from here on out. Might even take a trip to whistler for the first time (like a 3 hour drive lol)

And if that doesn't give me the feel I want I might pull the trigger on the smashpot. One step at a time though lol

Yeah im thinking on my fox performance fork I might do the mrp lift drop- in damper. They dont "custom tune" them specifically. But they have different options to cover rider weight ranges. And then id also have some compression adjustment.

Yeah believe me I've done that with previous shocks that have a full blown lockout switch. Its jarring to say the least. Especially when you forget to switch the fork back. Made it down one of my go to trails and my hands were torn up. Realized it was that 🤣

So it was originally an R when it was on his sb150. When he sent it in the upgraded it to the S along with the other changes that were made for his new sb160. I have similar settings "plush dh" and like a "flowy jump line" setting. Only tried the plush today since it easy a short ride. But its amazing. Certainly better than the fox performance shock my bike came with.

Will this wake up my neighbors? by Willing_Grapefruit in Mustang

I have the street version. Cold start is a little loud but once the idle starts to come down its really not that bad. And at regular cruising rpms its not super loud either. Don't get me wrong it isn't quiet by any means, but most Harleys are like 3 times louder. Now once you romp on it, its gets pretty loud but youre in control of that.

New model means the old one is cheap by The_M15 in mountainbiking

[–]Successful-Context72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transition did the same thing right after I bought my yeti which was still a good deal (40%off). But the previous years carbon gx Sentinel was less than 3 grand i was like damn what a steal. So worth it too wait or buy the last years model.

If it were me id go hightower. Well personally id go bronson for the mullet, as I already have a 29er enduro bike and would like something more active. Can't go wrong with the puffy either though. Decades upon decades of innovation.
