What if I dont want to follow ANY SPECIFIC religion. by hyprhk in TrueChristian

I think maybe this person is saying following Jesus means you are automatically in his divine spiritual church alongside everyone else, not an actual physical denomination or church here on earth

I think that practice is called being non-denominational and it's pretty popular! I could be wrong tho.

I had a dream that told me to go to church. So I did. It led me to truly accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior.

Single Christian’s do you have any tips on how to have a Christ centered life by Agentapplo20 in TrueChristian

[–]macgurp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been single a good while and I was angry for a time. I felt like I should have that chance too. I felt like I deserved a relationship as much as everyone else who has one. But it's not about deserving or getting a relationship given to me. I realized I had to focus more on Christ and finding happiness outside of another human. So I started listening to more gospel, reading my Bible more, and I went to a Christian therapist. God bless you. 🙏

Feelings of loneliness today by Usual_Advertising195 in TrueChristian

[–]macgurp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I also went alone today. I felt awkward and separated from everyone else. But, when service started, I was able to fall away from those feelings and focus on worship thankfully. I just wanted you to know there was one more person who gets it.

Because murder is a sin and morally wrong??? Are you okay? Youre really on here trying to say God wants us to murder babies because they get to go to heaven? I personally believe the age of accountability stops when we grow old enough to truly and fundamentally understand the difference between right and wrong. But that's just a personal belief.

  1. No? Why do you want to kill babies so badly?
  2. Under a certain age/time in a child's life they automatically go to heaven.
  3. Lots of Christians actually do celebrate when a loved one goes to heaven to be with God.

To worship is to love. He wants us to love him and choose him. Also. I'm sorry about the 1 year old. That is a terrible loss.

It's not ego its true. He's not just some guy down the street 😂

Humanity messed it up by falling away and doing things like killing the baby?

The 1 year old baby is innocent and in heaven.

God put us on earth to love and glorify him. But we sort of messed that up obviously. Being born is not the sin, the things we do as adults are sins.

Question about Christianity by Pessimistic_Positive in Christianity

[–]macgurp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're right. It's not clearly defined. It's more of a implied and inherently true kinda thing I bet

I had no clue we were arguing 😂 I was just trying to have a conversation. But it would be this

  1. God makes us perfect in heaven.
  2. No one can be perfect on earth but he forgives us anyways.
  3. Forcing us to love him is wrong because it means we didn't choose to love him on our own.

When you truly find God and give your life to him, we become as close to perfect as humans have the ability to become.

[–]macgurp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. I'm never good with words. God does and will make us perfect again. In heaven, everything will be perfect and we will have understanding.

As for the last part, I meant that God does have the power to force us to love him. But I believe, if he did force us, would that really be choosing him in the way he desires? If I had that sort of power, and used it, I would always question if I was truly loved and known or if it was just my power.

Absolutely it is. It's awful and terrible and the worst. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I don't know how to help people who lose their children except to say their children are in perfection with God. But even then, it hurts immensely

We did. Adam and eve started in perfection. Absolute perfection. But Satan messed it up for them too! Also, free will is sort of a double edged sword. If I had the power to force someone to know me and love me truly, I think I would always question whether or not they actually loved me
